near to 1h MA supports..probably it will break down today or tomorrow..maybe small bounce in US events today..

just hit the 68 fib could bounce a bit from here have sells under here so i will not get any more , if it bounces up i have sell limits in place

Actually i took profit earlier because of such kind of unexpected words..meaningless populist rhetorics..
make things messy..since at last CB meeting, CB has increased rates more than expexted, market is not giving too much meaning to politicians' populist remarks..i. think, market believes at the end CB can do what is necessary..it is due to last meeting decision i think..

my opinion is that they dont have a choise but raise because it getting worthless thanks for the info

Is it this on on the 24th, or will they do an impromptu announcement you think?

I think, they will increase at 24th meeting..if lira would devalue too fast, then maybe CB would make extraordinary meeting and earlier rate hike as in May when it goes up 4.92..but now no need for such action because verbal action has soothed the markets already..maybe CB also informed market informally about its intention to raise rates..it did it before April meeting if i dont remember wrong..but disaster was that at April meeting CB havent met the expectations, then we saw 4.92..i think they wont do same mistake..so, it seems overlook is bearish for usdtry till CB meeting (if politicians doesnt spoil)..

Nowadays they re selling hopes to markets..at 9 july new cabinet will be decalred..then expextation of lifting state of emergency...then CB meeting..actually nothing will be much better after those things happen..but lira and stock market are so oversold at recent months that every single hope find buyers nowadays..when all these things happen maybe lira and stock market may restart depreciate again..but lira's devalue may be slower this time comparing to May..

Thank you for this. It makes sense. I didn't understand it all before. That is a good point about the PM going out the door.
Where analysts think he's ignorant of finance when speaking of lowering interest rates, I think it's rhetoric. So, TCB has hiked rates in the past despite this rhetoric.

Usury is forbidden by Islam. He cannot establish a caliphate while charging interest. I bet he keeps it under the sly rather than actually lower interest rate. But he's got to keep talking it up.

I opened my holiday season officially will be in summer house for a few months..today no plan for lira..just i have some gbp/ jpy longs..i ll keep them..there is nfp data..tricky fridays..be careful..

Yeah. I understand Sunni Islam very well and a bit about Shia, Wahhabi and Salafists. I don't get the caliphate and Erdogan connection, either.

I'm thinking there's more going on behind the scenes. I'd see Erdogan as doing what he must to cover hisself while plans are made by someone else for something else. Something very big probably.
