Hi newhope, I do not use MT4 so I am totally illiterate on MT 4 and cannot help you on this subject.

The shifted line is not "composite". Hurst called it the Future Line of Demarcation in short FLD.

This the projection of Price Action in the future of 1/2 period of identified cycles.

Here you can build the FLD 32 by projecting Price Action 16 points forward, FLD 128 by projecting Price Action 64 points forward and FLD 256 by projecting Price Action 128 points forward

Then it is a good exercice to try to implement these tools on whatever platform you use.

this creates the Envelope 32 with an offset of - 16

after that you copy 2 times the Envelope indicator on the chart and you modify the length with 128 and 256
you change (if you want) the color - I use blue for 32, ocre for 128 and brown for 256
and you got the 3 Envelopes aligned on the end of Envelope 32 . The " Envelopes are offsetted by - 16

Then you save your “study” as a Template

PS - May be the code is not perfect - but I am totally illiterate in programming. So I used at the time (beginning of 2016) something existing in Trading View - and adapted it to my needs.

OAPDave you just have to practice - do not underestimate yourself - you built your own Envelopes , may be not exactly mine - may be it depends of the platform you use I do not know.

Anyway it is not the key point.

a) first you recognize the value and interest of Envelopes for Analysis and Trading
b) It is better to use 3 Envelopes built on Centered Moving Averages with the Time Parameters 32 / 128 / 256 you already know with Murrey
3 Envelopes are enough - to avoid confusion ( here MasterIknowall (AKA Supercop) is right)

c) on a long term chart you can add a fourth Enveloppe - parameters 1536 Time Units - corresponding to a 6 Year Cycle in daily time Unit
d) the Envelope 256 Time Unit has a depth or amplitude of 1 Octave (that MasterIknowall namesl Octave Gap)

e) you will note that I use ALL "Murrey" tools - the Octave, the Time Units and the Angles. If I do not use the "MML's" that I prefer to name "Support & Resistance Lines " (SRL), it is just because I have not found a practical and simple way to build them on Trading View . Honestly I did not invest a lot of time and effort in this case.

But on Long Term Chart I use Excel and Support & Resistance Lines

I do not agree on the use of 12 Lines by MasterIknowall . Because IMHO he has not understood the correct nature and function of the "MML's -1, -2 and + 1 , +2

These "MML's" constitute a " Zone of Transition" or "Zone of Hesitation" where Price action does not know yet if it will go to a superior Fractal of Price by doubling the Octave Gap or an inferior Fractal of Price by halving the Octave Gap.

This means concretely that Volatility expands or contracts
