The 5 pips includes the spread and I find the 1 minute chart is the only one I can get that. If I see a move on the 5 min i.e. a div then the stop has to be adjusted accordingly to below the div. Looking back at the charts we can see I had the position about right but I had the timing wrong and price did indeed turn to break the average on the 1 hour. Note how we could have had several goes at it before the right one kicked in.

Now look carefully at the average on the one hour it just managed to break the previous swing (dotted line) and that is what price is always trying to do, drag the averages to new levels. I pay a great deal of attention to the average.

The daily has already played the impulse bar and now only has to sit still a while to get the average over the line.

Omg this seems complicated. The blue box in the M1 chart is when you go long?

Do you mean that whichever up or down price is going, you would strike at the previous high/low in M1 timeframe and lock in the profit once it returns to the average hourly? Reason being price is always trying to return to the average hourly chart.

Gee you have got me confused now. This is certainly not what I mean at all.

We look for the inferred direction on the higher time frame then look for the entry on the lowest one.

We take the trade based on the div on the 1 minute.

We can see we have a good chance of making 20 pips.

Ooh this is similar to looking at 4h but looking at entering a trade in 1h

I believe that's the divergence sign in M1 chart. May I ask what's the reference for orange circles so that I can find more info on that to read on.

That's right......20 pips is all you want on average to reduce risk exposure and stress.
If you're playing with 5 lots, 20 pips is equivalent to $1k (depending on the pairs you trade).
