Yep stopped out yet again for +5

We can see on the 1 min price cannot get above the previous averages

We could have taken profit there but if we do then we never get those long running trades.

Nala from your chart you are doing a long entry based on positive divergence, but because the setup in itself have not taken out yet any HH or established a HL, the bias in itself to me will be difficult to lean on...

That is correct TG I am just assuming the bottom has been reached on the 1 hour and so I just keep taking the Bull Divs on the 1 min. I don't know which one will eventually break but then that is trading.

Probably one of the hardest things to do in trading is getting a trade started and it all begins at the 1 minute level (Not withstanding Ticks) so I try to get my entries at the 1 min because this is also where the risk is less, a requirement I desire for my lot sizes.

A 5 pip stop for me is quite enough but I have to get the entry on the ball, too late and I don't take the trade.

Look at this one it is now panning out because I missed it by posting here.

The questions I would now be asking myself is, Is it going to stop the one hour average or will it bounce of it or indeed will it even make it.

It is always the same process...

!) Identify a potential turn point.

2) Look for divs on the 1 min for entries.

3) Get the stop to break even.

4) Get the stop to lock in 5 pips.

5) Then let the trade run if it is going to.

The pair seems to hold steady on the downside ahead of US core PCE inflation for January, break below 1.3720 would confirm further decline.

Thanks for the advice. Is the 5pip stop excluding the spread? I'm thinking whether scalping suits me more since I like fast action and seems okay for the first 10-15pips but the actual TP (30pips) would turn against me before I hit it.
