Gbp/Usd continues its directionless correction movement with limited upside. 1.4025 become a tough resistance level, bulls will extend further if the pair breaks above it.

Next week Brexit will be back on the agenda, the UK government seems now has an idea of what kind of post-Brexit deal they want, a Canada-style. Market expecting a stronger Pound with softer Brexit.

Zone compressed between 1.3990 and 1.3957, looking if breakout from either ends will be directional. Larger timeframe another inside day, safe play is to wait for clear direction.

H4 cleared 1.3990 which is good, now at trendline resistance up to 1.4040

Now it has hit my 4031 I am not sure what it will do now. It could turn here to stop the average making the 3994 or it could run on to test the 4085 average

The GBPUSD is actively testing the resistance zone 1.4040/60 as part of the weakening of the dollar across the entire spectrum of the market. A confident break above will be an occasion for growth towards 1.4090, but it will be difficult to break even higher without additional positive news, first of all with respect to Brexit. As part of the downward movement, short-term support is located in the area of 1.3930-1.3900.

I'm also expecting 4080 soon but let me just point out that 4070 could offer significant resistance. This is because there is falling trend line on the 4hr chart touching the tops of previous peaks.

A break of that trendline should open for further upside.

If that TL goes on a daily close basis, it's hello 4208 from what I can see.
4480 on the longer term horizon
