That's a good rendition of the pairs, my difference is using CA, CF, JY (which is kind of nonsensical) But it's Friday and a good time to ponder such imponderables.

Yes it was. Short lived for me as I pull my stops to BE when they reach +5 after taking off 50%. I saw your post after I made my trade. I'm curious what you liked about the set up?

What I liked is it made a nice move up before coming back down. I have been zeroing in on that lately. In the past I have just jumped in regardless of how much it moved. I found a fair amount of those were false pullbacks.

This is an example of why I tend to like leaving my original stops alone. After moving to BE at +5, it decides to drop +65. But it works both ways too. I have saved a lot of pips doing this also.

fast it hit my TP for +63

hal,
i saw resistance on the left.
then the RN rejection is always good spot with G pairs.
and last i know this pair very well from trading it the last years.

This was pretty much nailed on.

I was also playing with profits gained on the earlier move, so a low-risk trade all round.

i had UC also on my monitor, but the red and brown news (CPI numbers) was preventing me from trading it.

Absolutely - and that was the sensible play. I simply was twiddling my thumbs and had a bank from through the day so took a calculated risk.

Got in too soon and last high SL was hit. One lesson for myself.
Also, I found 2 useful things for this strategy:
- High & Low of Day/Week/Month alert indicator
- Trade manager EA with hidden stop loss and take profit as well as 3-function trailing stop.

Hope they will make our system more comfortable to trade.

12 scalp trades in and including a double-dip entry on this courtesy of a bounce from a Supply Zone bounded at 1.40644, GU has treated me very nicely today. Certainly banished the Monday morning blues.
