well it's Friday... and I have hedged my short position at 13061, so it turns out to be flat.
Also I started to accumulate shorts on EURUSD @1.1924 even if, as I said, it's Friday.
I'm aware that it may rise again and, in that case, I will further accumulate the position @1.1964.
Let's see next week.

It's back up near the top of that range ( see my last post ) and 135 - 150 should be a pretty strong R area. The rebound this morning was off the 61.8% from Friday's low, so no surprise there. atm it's up on the 76.4% fib from Friday's high, which could cap it, or it may make a push towards today's R1 @ 160

I would say ( until opening NY )

Resistance -> 13079-89 ( above is long)
Support -> 13031-39 ( below is short)

H1 200ema R holding the price @ 13,060, and above the 90m 200ema has been a strong R level for some days already. The 76.4% fib sits on today's R1 @ 090.

Support difficult to ascertain atm, but I have a level @ around 12,932 which is between today's S1 & S2 if it can get down there.

That little dip probably caught a few people out holding longs. Now we'll see what kind of support there is....

S1 @ 957 is just below S1. Any break below S2 today would be a potentially significant move, opening Dax to lower levels, but I don't think it is ready for it and that support will hold between where we are now and S2 @ 12,911

I agree, interesting to see where this is going. Just posted a similar message in the Carpe Diem threat, I would like to see these trendlines broken as well as the support and resistance areas you're looking at:

Yes, pretty horrible day on Dax all told. H1 200ema resistance holding, but I would call momentum, if there is any momentum, up, so this can break in the late session. Or, we fall back to the immediate support area which is around 13,020 atm. If this resistance breaks, then R1 is my 1st target, with 120 as my second.

Scalping 1 Minute Charts.

Hi, I am looking at scalping the DAX on the 1 minute chart using a pullback entry on the 5 second chart.

Are any members trading this way or have any advice?

What's your definition of scalping here...how many pips?
Stop loss size?
Entry criteria?
Exit criteria?
momentum gauge?
Directional bias?

All these need to be in place.

Interesting how that little pullback to 182 was designed to take out stops that had been moved to break even from the clear 1 minute time frame sell signal candles between 08.20-08.25 London time.

The H6 100sma posted above seems to have held, as I thought it might. Dax can come down a long way from here, so if you shorted, I wouldn't be in too much of a hurry to exit just yet.

Just to add to my first chart this morning, the Daily, posted here, has broken above the 20sma which had been sending the price back down up until today, so now that it has been broken to the upside, there is the potential for the price to now move up towards the 61.8% or perhaps the 76.4% fibs, yellow and orange respectively.

A clear resistance level has been reached this morning, but we'll have to wait and see whether it holds.

That double top, and strong looking shooting star on the H1 chart just increased the likelihood that Dax will come down from this level by quite a fair measure.

All the 200 moving averages on time frames 3m and above are still south of the price though, so it can still lift off of these support levels.
