increasing the trade level reduces pairs selected by CCFp so t/p should also be adjusted.
I am just thinking maybe we should have a profit target based on pips per pair traded if trading and closing daily.
Amount of Pairs also vary a lot from week to week.
2 or 3 pairs with a t/p of 400 pips is going to be a lot hard to achieve than when using 10 pairs.

what do you guys think ?

just sharing a few real experiences that makes me decide to use trailock 70%

once i get max gain 398 pips. Less 2 pips from TP and went back all the way to 50% trailock.
another time i get around 360-380 pips and went back to 50% trailock.
so yes.. i guess a 70% trailock would actually save some more pips.. but then ppl would have different opinion abt that..

yes.. trading with 2-3 pairs is very hard to reach 400 pips. but i think making sure the SL TP ratio is 1:2 (for me that's somewhere ideal) is viable in the long run

You're correct. Using your 70% profitlock, we can secure the SL pips.

-198 pips weds
-75 pips Thurs
+218 pips friday,closed out early as it starting retreating from 260pips (4 pairs).
total for week
=122 pips.

Just found this thread and i'm really interested!. However is there some documentation on how to use it ?
I got it installed now using default settings on a demo account. Guess i will have to wait for monday before it will start doing anything.

But some more info would be nice. What are the tweaks, tricks, do's & dont's , set files, ...?
I'm sure its here somewhere, or did you guys just chat about the weather for 610 pages long ?? :-)

click on the paperclip and look for a pdf file. It explains how to do the setup. For the best setup please read the topic, don't expect finding the holy grail. You really need to test and discover it yourself following your own taste

so far using FF .. it varies from 6 pairs to 16 pairs... most of the time.. its around 8-12 pairs...

Hey Guys, Hope u are all doing well. I am almost ready to release the next update.

I see that several of you are using the profitlock feature. Is anyone still having problems with this?
What I mean is that do you see that the basket does not close when it is supposed to? If you are having take profit or stop loss issues please send me a PM and let me know what you did and when you expected it to happen. I want to see if market volatility has to do anything with it, etc etc etc.

To give u a heads up. The new version will include the 3Candle and bbsqueeze options. This is what we have found so far.
The following is a brief on the EA settings. The indicator used is the original on pg1, when new EA is released I'll include the settings for the indicator too.

1. Using a range of hours (00:00 - 23:59) and only setting the 3Candle option to H4,D1,W1 (looks at Candle color for those 3 TFs).
With this result we have seen positive pips each day. From 80 to 300 pips on average per day. (DD was similar)

2. Using a range of hours (00:00 - 23:59) and with both 3Candle (H4,D1,W1) and bbsqueeze set to H4.
Results are also positive but the pips are lower since the extra bbsqueeze filter gives less opportunities. This is the conservative approach compared to 1

Hope to have more concrete results soon.

Thanks Jess this sounds really awesome! So just to clear up a few questions..

Will only the 3 candle color options be used at all times or will we have the option to select which candle time frames we want to use? Example only use D1, W1 etc.

For weekly CCFp maybe using only the D1 and W1 would be good, and for daily CCFp then using the H4, and D1 candle colors would be good..

You said that in the next release that the indicator settings will be included so does that mean that you have coded the CCfp indicator into the EA so we will no longer have to load the CCfp indicator to the chart? If that's the case then I'm guessing that it will be set to true on default but we could set it to false if we are using the FXM or MTF indicator etc?

The input to for the Candle Color is set by you indicating which TFs you want to monitor. In fact you can just use TWO instead of THREE candles.
All you need to do is set the input to the TFs you are want the EA to monitor. In the Example I gave I used H4,D1,W1 as an input (notice the commas).
You are not limited to those 3 TFs you can also just monitor 2 TFs by setting the input to D1,W1 or H4,D1. Or even just one TF by setting the input to just one TF.

No the ccfp-diff indicator is not integrated into the xm7 monitor. Reason being that some use this indicator others use a different indicator, FXM.

The previous post was an example of what we are testing. This is my attempt, to not only providing an update but also, a tested approach that you folks may want to use. Based on what we have seen before, more than likely, no one will use the approach LOL. And if you do use it, the user will change the settings figuring that they have found something "better" or more "profitable". LOL. This is all fact, it has happened many times.

Anyhow. I plan to start trading again with the vanilla version (for those that are new, vanilla means the simplest settings based on the pg1 golden rules), which allowed me to double an account back in May 2017. See post https://www.forexfactory.com/showthr...31#post9898731
I will demonstrate that with one basket and the simple ole ccfp-diff indicator that you can be CONSISTENTLY profitable.

Awesome thanks Jess, I'm even more excited now haha.. I was using the candle filter before you took it away so I'll be one very happy camper once its back.

I look forward too seeing your test that was making 80-300 pips a day, those kind of results I'm sure would make any trader happy lol.
