I would generally advise against such a wide stop loss unless it is justiified and backed by historic data or if you trade news spikes that have an estimated size of 100 pips or more. In the end you need to have a rough estimate about the expected volatility to define your stop loss (and take profit); start from the estimated market reaction and work yourself backwards from there.

For example if trading an event like UK industrial production yesterday that had an estimated spike of 15-20 pips, there is no need to go for anything larger than 10 pps stop loss in my opinion.

We expect that this only means further sensitivity to the CPI data and high sensitivity for both positive and negative deviation.

US inflation data can be a nice catalyst for a decisive move either up or down the current range in the US Dollar.

GOLD futures cloes at $1305 following CPI data, this can be an indication of further price advance. The inflation rhetoric has changed a bit within the last weeks, now the FOMC has further proof of lagging inflation.
