I had this JY short and got stopped. I had my reverse in and it hung for quite a bit. Then to make matters even dicier News release rolled around and spread widened to 8. Lucked out as momentum held and took me out clearing my loss

EG proved a bit easier and was a straight shot +5 long

Hi and thank you for sharing the most simple system i ever see.
I have backtestesd EURAUD H1 with a nice result 62% win trades znd more than 50% account growth.
And this after a mistake and loosing a previous 7k wins.

What I was referring to earlier when I pull the plug on a reverse trade. This JY was stopped going short but did not keep pushing north. So I opted to take the loss rather than the potential bigger loss at the dotted line. And it could still move up to my initial profit level, but that is trading. It is all about managing risk.

This shot on the JY short worked +5 also had shorts on GJ +5, EJ +5, and EU long +5. all trades cleared in 5 minutes.

Had the EG short and it got about 4 pips before shooting north, stopping out. I reversed and recovered the loss.

hal7, would you mind sharing a bit of 'reverse and recovery' process? By looking at your posts it seems that you apply it frequently and with success. Thanks.

To address your question bopuc on reverse strategy. What I do is take a 5x leverage above or below the stop which is usually 3 pips past the high or low. My reverse trade is preset and I usually am looking for 4 to 5 pips recovery. In the case of this JY it was 4.2, and it did not come into play. It works best of course when the market is active or trending in one direction. Typically, but not always you will see that in early London session. It is a risky strategy because of the increased leverage so I do not recommend it for most. It works for me most of the time. But I am quick to pull the plug when it stalls or slips.

Again short on the EG, this time it came in my direction +5 I had a 3.2 pip reverse trade in place that I did not have to use this time around.

Yes it looks risky, but nevertheless interesting approach. Thanks for the explanation.
