No trading for me this morning but look at this Futures Trade on the 5 minute this morning. Wish it always moved like this

EDIT: I noticed the %R is messier on the one minute.
EDIT - EDIT = similar for YM and NDX Futures

Thanks for a wonderfully constructed thread Laura, it's been a great insight reading it.
I recently took this demo trade on NZDCAD H1.
I realise there is no perfect place to put your stop for would you have been stopped out on this trade like I was? I don't feel like you would have been
If not can you please tell me where your stop would have been?
I had an emergency stop at 50 pips away from my entry.
Thanks Again

Hi - welcome.

In that example my emergency stop would not have been hit as it would have been above the previous high by some distance (purely for emergencies).

However, you were proven wrong when the channel fully crossed the SMA, so your exit point was actually correct.

Hope this helps.

And you shorted on an up bar that was still inside the channel. Why not wait for it to break to the downside of the channel as it did several bars later to the right? And price had broken a consolidation level above it ( lower highs) and broke the 200 and some consolidation to the left. Price action is more important than indicators but you will see that after some experience.

On another thread ( Most of the herd thundered over to it recently)
The subject of price structure came up.
This is one such where 200 bounded one level - it was FLAT. The lower level was a point prior to the first retrace. This level was broken further along ( brown box)
Then a channel break long, maybe, since channel is now some way from the flat 200 ( elastic band maybe)? After that be careful and wait because price may be in the doldrums for a while as happened over recent days. So look at ma and channels on other indices but be in no hurry to trade.
Or I could be talking bollocks

Back to Nasdaq Future - one minute chart. Thought I would be clever - even more of a gamble -and long at Arrow hoping to pre -empt a long before breaking upper channel. Next bar (breaking level to the left) taught me to stick to my rules and kicked me out thus having to re-enter short. Channel now breaking to long side -not shown.

Last for today -and for a while.
A long (arrowed) hanging on just about and faces closing for a small loss -well it did, closed other side of channel so thats it for today since they go to lunch in the USA around now. Might pop back around 7pm for a look again.

Edit: Just realised that if I locked in ten then this last trade would be okay - greedy git Turnip and not doing what you tell other people to do

Inspirational post.
I’m not very vocal here for a couple of reasons. Mainly time constraints and being someone not very comfortable speaking out publicly. But I would like to reiterate how grateful I am for your time, teachings and inspiration that have shaped the way I trade and the progress I’ve made.
I absolutely love trading and long for more time to devote to it. I had never tried anyone’s system before but was instantly drawn to your Roadmap and style of teaching. I’m currently trading Roadlight (or Daymap) adding the williams indicator to the Roadmap system. I love the interaction of the 8 and 55 channels.
So on behalf of the quiet ones…Cheers
Ps I will try to post more, about actual trades but not promising
Wish you all the very best with your health.

Thank you so much for taking the time to say this (and for doing so publicly when it goes against your character) - I really do appreciate it.

It gives me great satisfaction to hear people benefit in some small way from what I do here. Even more so when one of the 'quiet ones' speaks out

Good luck on your journey and if you ever need anything specific please always feel welcome to ask.

Hah ! "Small Way." Don't underestimate yourself Laura. Your threads have been truly inspirational to many. Only the psychological hurdles remain for many but only they can overcome those hurdles. A good start would be to read your journal ( Exercises part as a case in point that MUST be read) AND applying them going forward -not in writing about theory gleaned from elsewhere but by exposure to the coal face of trading - demo trading initially, and the dipping their toes in. There is a world of difference between Demo and LIVE trading - you will only realise this if you actually do it. Her methods work but ultimately success resides between your ears. Good luck Boys and girls.
Laura - you look after your health first and foremost.

Hi! First and foremost I want to thank LauraT for sharing her time and strategy witch a bunch of strangers on the internet I wish you the best in life.

I've been eating post after post for the last week and a half, the journal too . I'm fairly new to Trading (thanks quarantine I guess)... and have been growing my account trough signals services so far and it's time for me to take a full dive into this world. Even though this tread is not as active as it used to be (most if not all of the information regarding this strategy has already been displayed ...one just have to not be lazy and dig for it) I would like to share with Roadmappers that are still active the trades that I will be taking from now on.

May the pips be with you all!
