Sorry for the delay in answering. Family things keeping me away for a few days.

I certainly have not discovered something new with Synergy or H-A candles. My only point is that they do not whipsaw around to the degree of normal price candles. They tend to stay red or blue. For me this is important giving me confidence to remain in a trade longer for greater success. Surely that is the reason one would use the H-A and/or Synergy candles. And this approach does not often bring you in to a trade too early. Many other things I have tried did bring me in prior to actual crossover turns.

Another way to say this is to observe that I am personally too quick to exit when just viewing regular candles . . . this method helps me to hang on.

Of course, it is true that dd can/will be greater with higher TF candles, but the gains typically are also larger on D1. It is true that I am counting on a higher winning percentage on D1 trades than lower TFs to allow for the dd. I think what we are all looking for is a positive expectation on our trading results over a larger number of trades. I can't seem to do that on the very low TFs.

I have a friend who trades very successfully on M15 down to M1. I have tried, without continuing success, to do this making this forum ideal for me.

I think I have not helped much other than arguing for adopting what works for you.

Due to our evolutionary wiring, 99% of traders would do better trading higher timeframes.

The problem is that everything we do in trading goes completely against how our brain is wired.
This is why it's so difficult to change/improve in trading.

You cant just "hold your trades longer" as the problem runs much deeper.

The problem is.. based on our wiring what we do is NECESSARY to survive. We do the CORRECT thing.
In Trading it's the opposite though, the correct thing is WRONG to do!

Now try to change something that has been deeply ingrained in your brain as a survival instinct ever since we were born.

The lower timeframe we go, the more difficult it gets to control those instincts.

This is why there is only a very handful of people (if even a handful) that are able to trade low timeframes, as they have personality traits which are in their favour.

Of course everyone after reading that comes to one conclusion... "I am special".. because they want to believe they are, instead of just being true to themselves and say to themselves "Yes, I am not made to trade LTF, I need to trade HTF"

The RoadMap is comprised of 3 separate EMA's:

34 EMA, Low, solid line ______________________
34 EMA, Close, dotted line -------------------------------
34 EMA, High, solid line ______________________

Hey Robinhood, hope you're doing well. I'm still plugging along on my demo account, small but steady growth on the forex side but really finding it tough in the stocks. An area where you seem to favour at the moment, which rasied a question.

I wondered how your trades are generally split between daily and weekly chart trades?

I have been attempting to trade stocks for a few months using the roadmap and oscillator setup on the daily charts, but it seems at the moment everything is unpredictable and ranging around, are you selecting stocks in a particular method to avoid this? Or is it simply that your trading more on the weekly timeframe and avoiding the daily swings?

I don't ever initiate my trades based ONLY on a Weekly chart. I initiate my trades from a Daily chart, I just make sure that the Weekly chart's indicators are telling me positive things at the same time the Daily chart is.

Not to imply that I can see the future, but near the end of 2021, I thought for many reasons (including for tax reasons) that the U. S. stock market was going to go south in a big way and I sold all of my stocks in my IB account but two, and one of those stocks was a penny stock named HPIL that effectively went broke. So now I only have that one other stock. And, I do still day trade stocks almost every day.

Here's how I knew to get out back in January 2022. This is the NASDAQ:

In my opinion, over the long haul, you will make more money trading the Weekly charts over the Daily charts. Look at a stock called UNH on a Weekly chart, it's quite impressive. But not so much on the Daily chart.

Aside from that, IF I had to put all my money on one stock forever, it would be BRK.B. Last time I looked the stock market was down 22% this year and Berkshire was only down 7%. In my opinion, Warren Buffet is clearly a lot better stock investor than anyone else on the planet so why not invest your money in his stock for the long haul...or at least some of it?

There are numerous items that have been added or changed (to some degree) over the course of the thread.

Personally, I would try to master what's on Page #1, Post #1, Template #1 before making any changes or additions as that will make any changes that you may want to make later much easier to understand if that's something that you really want to do. It may not seem now that doing that is the best route for you, but I can assure you it is.

You can get most of them on TradingView because I used to use it, but I don't anymore so I can't tell you how.

I have talked to other traders in countries other than the U.S. and they use TC2000.

I suggest watching this video from YouTube to learn the basics of Market Structure IF you don't already understand it.

yes of course, without Market structure its not possible to make money with a trend strategey or maybe avoiding bad trades.
