This is how I use the 4-Bar Fractal indicator

I look for Daily signals and Buy or Sell on the close

Still experimenting with actual Stop Loss and Take Profit

So far, TP at the ADR is working fine, but up to each trader to decide.

Can you show us an example of where and how that is actually useful?

The 3-Bar is a Reversal indicator so the best signals are given when the price is far above or below any Moving Average.

What you ask for seems counter-intuitive to me, but if you can show us where it helps...

Also, it doesn't give very many signals, so the few arrows on the chart are not really annoying IMHO

For example, on this chart, with 20 EMA, do you want to eliminate the arrows above the MA or below the MA?

Since I read this thread and also posted about the 4-Bar Fractal, my demo has been going great.

Of course, it's only DEMO, no need to tell me, but at least I have a Trade Explorer.

Almost 800 trades, when I get to +25% or 6 months positive, I might open a thread.

I use an EA to set the stop loss and take profit for me and it has a risk position size calculation function.

I started out with a 0.10% risk which on a Daily chart, pretty much means the minimum of 0.01 lots for all pairs.

So anyone could do that manually without much trouble; whether they have the stamina to place trades daily is another discussion.

There were a few sure-fire trades that I increased to 0.50 and of course, they lost; you can see the dip in the graph.

And sometime in June, I increased to 0.20% so again, check the Trade Explorer, some trades were 0.02 and even 0.03.

In fact, the Trade Explorer has so much useful information, is well worth your time to click all the various displays there, and so much to learn.

Probably I should mention that as well as the risk, I have been fine tuning the stop loss and take profit, so check the early trades and see if you can tell any difference with the current trades. The point being, it hasn't just been a set and forget since the beginning but nearly there.

This was the 1st time I placed any trades on the Monthly signal, for instance, see below.

In the chart did you use sweetspot as support and resistance to know your entry? is that what you mean by...{ Buy or Sell on the close}.........(of that Daily Candle)?. Can you share the horizontal lines indicator and the setting?Thanks.....Thread is (High Level Accuracy)

Just catching up on this thread.

No, not using S & R for entry, just the 4-Bar dots as per that chart.

That round number indicator used to be free, doesn't work anymore, and now there is a paid version which cannot be mentioned.

I use the indicator to predict the direction from the box. I have already modified the code amateurishly. The original indicator has a small error. In rare cases, it will only start showing arrows after a reboot.

For filtering I use the color of the chart bars plus the color of the Heiken Ashi bars. Only by hand, because I don't know how to program.

Hi Erebus, it took a while but here it is. :-)

To make things easier I simply added your indicator as an option to use in the indicator settings. You can set the other 2 indicators to false and the 4 Bar Indi MOD to true then it should work.

Please test it and let me know if t works the way you want it to. Btw the 4 Bar Indi MOD indicator had an array error which I fixed so I would use this version attached instead.

Did you install the indicators as well?

I have different problem, all sell signals for the 4-Bar

Thanks so much for this, much appreciated, I'm sure it took too much of your time!

However, seems to be a glitch there somewhere, only getting SELL signals as per the chart I posted.

Tried on Global Prime broker, no suffix and IC Markets, "a" suffix, both the same result.

Hopefully, can be fixed easily, cheers.

Try each Dashboard by itself, and use less instruments / pairs, not the whole MarketWatch
