{quote} That Target area could have been drawn around the 5th of August? Enough time? and then to create confluence, the next target area would be drawn on H1 time frame probably last night but we are not here to catch these small winners, not necessarily, we are here to catch the big ones. so perhaps working towards a target area like this on a daily time frame would be something to consider... food for thought // wishing everyone a great weekend.

Yes intresting. Have a nice weekend.

njokie, I've got question.... Why you said "free trade" ? Is it easy to take this trade ? What is a special on this chart that told you the direction of movement ? The price can do everything, don't you think?
Ignored
I found two images from page 1 of this thread that explain what a "free trade" is.
Attached Image

So, we have a price chart, we have the "opening price", taken at 0600 GMT, and we have an IB and a stop-loss price.

We want to protect our capital, so that IF there is a sudden price reversal, we can minimize the risk of loss.

On that chart, X = the range from our "entry price" to the stop loss. This is the maximum that we might lose, if the trade goes bad.

We buy 2 lots (or 20, or 200, etc.).

Once the price goes up by X, we can "lock in" some profit by selling 1 lot (or 10, or 100).

Now our order is only 1 lot (or 10, or 100), but if the price suddenly reverses due to High-Frequency Trading algorithms,
we won't lose the whole 2/20/200 lots, because we locked in a profit that is equal to half our original amount.

Hi Dustbin,

I see your trade explorer results and they look very good. I see that you do not make any gain for around 10-12 trades and then you get a big jump, I think because of a big winner. I remember you said you have two trading strategies and one of them is DIBS. Which strategy fits you better and which one results in the Trade explorer big wins? Whatever the strategy you seem to be consistently profitable.

Hello, traders!

There is not a secret there - the best DIBS trades do occur during imbalance market enviroment.

The market is moving by its own. You have only to spot this possibility and join the move with the rigth technique which could help you to squeeze that "money-wave" as much as it is possible. The DIBS is THAt technique for sure.

Just find the market in a solid trend, and make a living.

Here you have USDJPY pair which shows us a nice down move. for now - the possibility of another nice down leg is very big. Why one wouldn't try to squeeze money here?

When you have a bigger picture in your mind - you could very easy spot IB's on smaller timeframes. Trade them, and trail your stops till end of the move.

Good luck!

If you did not still notice - one of the best trades Peter did show us here - was very same trade at EUR/USD (uptrend). Do you still try to get and idea what about he was talking "weakness and strength"??? Here you have it - the answer.

Remember - the trade was taking by him at 1hr chart basis. But now you know - why.

This is a PC comments , take what you fit best whith your trading style..

"
At the beginning of each trading session, when price is moving just under or above (sometimes both) yesterday's close, do you look for breakouts in one direction? both directions?

Yes, at this point I am looking to buy above an inside hourly bar where the breakout point is above yesterday's close (and today's open) or sell below the low of an hourly inside bar below the open of today.

"

I am only looking to go long on a breakout (blue line) of an inside bar if that breakout is above the previous close.

Likewise, I am only interested in selling a downside breakout (red line) if the breakout is below the previous close.

You will notice that almost all of the breakouts were significant enough for you to make a very good shorter term trade, some you could have trailed most of them with a form of trailing stop (moving average) and still be in hundreds of pips after entry with a small stop at the other side of the inside bar………………………………………

One last tip: You want to be particularly interested in the inside bar breakouts which meet the conditions early in the session, namely the first 9 - 10 hours.

The most important thing is to know the rules but use your own discretion.

Good trading
