Hey Mouteki, quick question.

What's your opinion on targeting another expansion level, say the 127.3, if it's overlapping a fib zone? In the method as I learned it, we only looked at the 161.8 - do you think a 127.3 overlap is a lower probability setup, or do you simply not like the R:R that it typically offers?

Very interesting on the EURNZD, it still appears to be setting up very well. The 161.8 is overlapping the 987, as well as the 85.00 "big round number." I'm hesitant to go Long the euro because of all the stuff in the news, but because I don't really understand fundamentals and thus don't trade them, I'm also hesitant to ignore a good setup based on something I don't understand.

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend and took a little break from the charts. Coming off such a volatile end to the trading week and an equal start, I am still avoiding the market for short term trades. I don’t find it logical to attempt to trade just yet because the risk is to great. I believe we are still in for a few more surprise rallies, so since it is Monday and considering everything else I have put my trading on hold.
By this, I mean my method of short term position trading that I have been instructing here on mouteki.com for the past three weeks.
The good news is that I have many tools in my trading box. From the many years and many methods I find myself able to adapt to market conditions and still find interest in the market.
Today’s interest is coming from the ftc method that I taught just around two years ago. Long term position trading targeting large fib zones. The manual is available to free on the blog, just sign up to the right if you have yet to do so. Great method for current market conditions.

One last thing I didn’t mention in the video…due to current events I will try to avoid the eur/jpy setup and take the chf/jpy if the opportunity arises…

I wanted to update the current situation on the chf/jpy and show current analysis on the 5 minute chart. Make sure to watch today’s first video before this so you get the overall picture.
We are currently seeing a 5 minute continuation south, potentially a day trade opportunity here. Looks like I will be trading after what I said this morning. Short opportunity using the new 5 minute fib expansions taking the pair down to the 83.40 price level.

Ok folks, this video isn’t a setup to trade today but a review of yesterday’s trade that I took during the New York session. As of yesterday, I am trading a new account instead of the $500. I am doing this to make it more interesting for the both of us. I will be updating the chart of the day in just a little bit…but make sure to watch this as the analysis is very clean cut and to the point.

Today on mouteki.com we will be analyzing the Nzd/Jpy. The setup is a mirror image of opportunity we looked at yesterday on the Eur/Jpy. Unfortunately, prime technical setups do not follow through all the time. No worries, that is where money management picks up the slack. Yesterday was a great example of this. The Eur/Jpy was setting up for a nice movement north, we saw technicals supporting the direction and price action giving the entry. Short term rally north and then a massive 100% + retracement. At this point, I am no longer interested in this pair. I simply saw a great investment and lost so move onto the next.
It is great to have back to back setups like this, as a matter of fact three counting the gbp/jpy setup. Our goal is to be able to analyze the market and also how it got there and why it got there and where it is going…

Long ▲ Nzd/Jpy @ 66.70

Unfortunately I was busy in a seminar this morning and was not able to make a pre-Ny video update.
As far as trading, I am still long on the nzd/jpy.
On the pair yesterday we saw a nice 100% fib expansion payout and from then a 61.8% retracement. The retracement is the same as the one that occurred on the 61.8% expansion payout. We have seen the market attempt during new york to make a bull movement but failed yet to see stamina in any short lived rallies north. I have taken new positions on the pair in my account with all stops at the 66.05 price level.
I have attached a screen shot of my 1 hour chart just to make sure we are all on the same page. That for now, just wanted to give a quick update…

Starting off the trading week we are going to look for a trade on the Gbp/Aud. The movement has breached a dominant 1 hour line of supply and is currently trading north.
In today’s video I also cover the Usd/Jpy which has also violated a dominant 1 hour line of supply and we are awaiting a entry off of retracement levels.
As I mentioned last week we will be holding a few live webinars this week for our blog viewers. We are going to update the site today with further information regarding the webinars so make sure to check back later for further updates.

Today I have found two setups that I wish to share. The two setups act as my plan A and Plan B.
Plan A this morning is the Aud/Cad. We have seen the pair violate dominant supply from the one hour compression during the London session. The pair is showing respect of the Fibonacci on the smaller compressions. Nice initial movement, follow through to the 61.8 and 100 Fibonacci expansions. We are currently seeing the market create a retracement off of the 100% fe payout. Looking for price action on the 5 to give me entry via a fib bounce. Overall targeting the 161.8% fe.
Pretty much the same setup occurring on plan B which is the Gbp/Cad. Since the market is currently at levels for trade I’ll cut this short so you can get to the video in time.

Hopefully you watched my update yesterday and took my analysis to the bank. For those of you that did not watch the video I strongly suggest you do because there is a lot to be learned.
As you may know, my plan A yesterday was the aud/cad. As I explained in my analysis, we were interested in taking the pair north on fib bounces using price action for verification. Fortunately we saw the pair breach the final 61.8% retracement during the opening hours of NY thus losing interest in the setup.
As always, I was prepared for plan B. In this case the gbp/cad. We were also interested in fib bounces on this pair off of the 61.8% fe and furthermore interested in seeing the pair breach the high it created at the 61.8% fe. The pair just missed the 23.6 % retracement level during NY and from there we saw price action drive the pair above the 61.8% fib expansion. At this point I went long on the pair initially to gain profit and then see price pull back just about 20 pips were I entered my second position. Both positions were entered on account that the market had already breached the previous high at the 61.8 fib expansion level. The breach of this level proved to me that the market was going to continue trading north during the session on route to further fib expansions. As always, I set my profit limits at the 161.8% fib expansion and woke up this morning to profit in my account.
I have attached a screen shot of the pair just as a visual reference and to prove that I actually trade what I preach on mouteki.com.

Good analysis on the eur/jpy. Really shows my overall thought process when analyzing a pair. To much detail to get into so I’ll just let the video do the explaining. As I have said many times before, I do not trade a method yet an overall thought process. A psychological battle between me and the market, everytime… That’s what I love about it. Enjoy.

I was stopped out of my sell on the eur/chf only to find that my aud/nzd setup that was initially my plan A is still in harmony and giving entry for a buy. I have attached a picture of the 1 hour chart, I am not going to recover the analysis on the pair since I have already done it in video format.

In today’s video analysis we talk about the gbp/jpy as our chart of the day aka Plan A. Technical analysis is showing a great opportunity to take the pair long on the current rally north. Also, I cover the aud/nzd which I posted yesterday as a trade entry north. I was able to manage three positions on the pair which as I write this have achieved their profit limits. Also, I cover the eur/chf trade from yesterday which unfortunately was stopped out due to a 100% retracement. Overall a wealth of knowledge in today’s video so I suggest watching.

Today, we are looking to continue trade the gbp/jpy. If you remember, this was also our plan A from yesterday. Patience paid off and we got our initial entry on the breach of the 127.2% fe from the first set of fib expansions we created. The market has proven itself to the second set of expansions and we are now looking for a second entry on the breach of the current 100% fe that is at the level of the recent high. Overall, looking for the market to achieve it's profit limit at the 161.8% fe overlap with the 610 fib zone.
Also in today's video update you will find analysis on the cad/jpy. A mirror image of the setup that were currently trading on the gbp/jpy.
I also wanted to thank the many of you that have sent me emails lately regarding my post "some food for thought." Thank you for taking time and replying, I really really really enjoy hearing what you all have to say, after all trading can be a lonely world so communication is key.

Today we are taking a look at the eur/gbp. This time we are taking a look at a potential setup forming off of continued respect of supply instead of violation. Violation movements simply are easier to learn and spot, this is why we started with them. Continuation movements must be proven by tracking every previous movement in the market, and if techs support a continuation from a proven point then it becomes a tremendous opportunity to trade the market.
