i just want to make a point.. ive been looing at different pairs.. and what is isee is that.. onyl seldom it happens that when the TL breaks.. the pips move in a quick way to hit the profit level quickly.. mostly it happens that it takes 6 bars or more to hit the level.. and sometimes 4 bars go towards the profit level.. and then guess what.. we have a trade in the opposite direction... whats that all about?

With all due respect, you have no idea what you're talking about. The longer term trend is always important. And just because we are trading breakouts, that doesn't mean that we are not trading trends. Last week for example, I traded the GBPUSD all the way down from 19025 using Mouteki.

errr the mthod is just concerned with breakouts.. it doesnt see trend at all.. so the longer term trend shudnt be of any importance.. dont uthink??

Was I not trading with the trend? Ofcourse I was. Furthermore, I was aware that on the daily chart, we had, over the last few weeks, been making lower highs, and (marginally) lower lows. A downtrend. This made me more comfortable taking the 3 trades initiated by trendline breaks as per Mouteki methodology.

rude?? nah dont worry about it.. man ive been trying to learn about forex since the last 4 months.. anyone who can help me get the hang is more than welcome.. so ummm wt i gather is.. u said GBP was making lower highs.. thats a downtrend.. what if in the mouteki 4hr charts the TL breaks towards the upside.. would you still have taken the trade??

i figured that mouteki method lets us avoid all the difficulties of long term crap.. u know.. so that u dont have to take into accounts daily charts.. anyways i traded minor currency pairs and made exactly correct lines.. but had 6 trades go against me last night.. i dunno how the hel i managed to do that.. any comments?

oh and i took a look at GBPUSD daily chart.. from the way i see it.. the cureny is ranging.. dont u think??

It's always informative to look at the longer term trend...

In a way, you are right that Mouteki method may be self-contained within the 4h time frame -- but if it goes against the larger picture, you might find reverse signals coming along and spoiling the trade. Checking the panorama isn't fool-proof, but it sure doesn't hurt either.

I guess you either do not use SL or you have a high SL - be careful. Actually, if you had put in the sell order on Thur when the demand line crossed, you could have made over 150 PIPs on Friday....

See post #390, it makes a difference as to when you get the signal, just look at the price of the cross of the demand line. Which would you prefer if you wanted to short the pair?

Trends occure on all time frames but generaly speaking larger the time frame greater the trend and greater the move if the trend breaks. In smaller time frame you keep your self open to mutiple possibilities of an anoument coming and causing a false break. If you not happy w/ the 4h your may want to look at a larger time frame as well.. You just have to find what fits you the best...

When it comes to big news moves you take on bigger risk.. trade w/ caution.
Getting a big win won't make you a winner. Being consistent will.

Is anyone using an Expert for this system which works exactly how mouteki defined his system? If the expert has been working correctly can you post it here please. This will save me alot of time. Thank you.

3. This thread has been open for some time now. Can someone post their result? Im only interested in results that strictly followed mouteki's rules of entry and exit and take profit.

So far I am holding a short order from friday
Nothing is hard, some things just take more time and discipline.

Mouteki system is pretty simple. I think to relay on someone else results might miss lead you. Cause you need to know what pair they traded would you have traded that pair did they set up the trade as mouteki wrote ect ect.

You know what they if you want it done right you got to do it your self.

Yeah me too!

I had a DL break and short entry showing up on my 4 Hr chart just before NFP, but I didn't want to be the guy picking up the bar of soap!
