hi...

I am in the camp of..test the method out over a period of time even if its on a demo first without adding or changing the system..

I have seen to many people who when they get there first loss start trying to modify the system...

My point of view here is simple.....the trading idea is basically a different way to draw a trendline nothing more or less..( I might add I do like the way there drawn here ). Trading trendline breaks has been around for many many years and I dont think anyone has come up with a sure fire way to filter the breaks or we would be seeing it before now...so wonder why people think there able to do it now.
more like lucky.just dont want to lose too much. live acct .too new to system .used mouteki methods onmonthlys,wk,etc came up with 12564 for bottom so far. at this point looks,like i missed.

well I would bet there will be many compliants over the next day or so about how they could not get out of a trade or close one due the the brokers freezing there platforms...

The swing seem's to have come from a revision of the Aug numbers also released with the other data...

There still needs to be some questions asked...why such a big move 30mins prior to the release....always expect some movement...but geez..that was 60pips.

I think that all down-turns in this cross is more related to USD movements than NZD movements. If the USD goes up, like it just did, after a (short) while the NZDUSD goes down, but it will correct itself towards the .66 area. It looks like everything is taken out on JPY right now.

i was down close to or morethen 100pips when at NFP, good thing i didn't close out, now my gbp is up 65 pips. today is my first NFP trading, man what an experience....so what system should i use to trade big news moves like this?

i think you need a lot of luck and a good broker

i think i was pretty lucky today, i close all my trades for the day,with losses and gains, i end up with 50 pip gain, its not much, but its better then lossing

The stop-and-reverse I mentioned is not really a "mode". Please do not confuse this with the parabolic SAR either.

By SAR, I just mean... alright, take this example. You were in a long cable trade. You see GBP/USD bounce from a support of 1.8500 and thus you decided to go long, with your SL set at 1.8500. But alas, the price went up from 1.8500 to 1.8520 and then subsequently down to 1.8450. This support at 1.8500 that you thought was substantially strong has been broken! So now, this 1.8500 may have possibly become a resistance (instead of the prior support). So after you got stopped out of your long cable, you do a "stop-and-reverse" and go short instead, putting your SL now at the new 1.8500 resistance level. That is what I meant by the stop-and-reverse.

In the case of Mouteki method, let's say you got a Mouteki long signal from the break of the downward sloping supply line. You happily went long but after several price bars, a new Mouteki short signal was generated -- it seems that the upward sloping demand line was now broken! So what do you do in this case? Well, you analyse the situation carefully (no, this isn't crap) and decide firstly if you want to exit your current long or if you want to hold on till you reach PP or hit SL. Then, you decide if your new short signal is worth taking. If you think the short is worth taking and the long you were in is no longer valid, then exit the long, do a "stop-and-reverse" and go short.

In the chart you attached, you can see that the demand line is rather steep. This signifies a strong uptrend and if you want to take the short signal and go short, it would likely be a "temporary trade" in that you are trying to ride the slight retracement of a healthy trend. As you have often heard, people like to go with the general trend direction. In this case, the general direction is up - so if you go short, you have to be nimble enough to get out as soon as price looks like it is heading north again. That said, if price retraces too much, it may indeed mean the uptrend is broken.

If you are already long in the example, yes, I would close it since up seems more likely than down here. I am personally in a fresh long too. BUT, this is NOT professional advice and just my INDIVIDUAL OPINION. Price may come down so please don't crush me with blame and guilt if I turn out wrong.

Yes Jumper....but I doubt there were thousands of people using the same tools to try develope a product the same way as Edison....besides he was not dealing with a dynamic electricity supply...he turned the the switch on ...hahahah

errr the mthod is just concerned with breakouts.. it doesnt see trend at all.. so the longer term trend shudnt be of any importance.. dont uthink??
