Just finished my daily dance with my ideal trading dance.

Why?
1. Reversal studies paid. Saw both bullish and bearish reversals and I took them.
2. Early PT as recently planned.
3. Minimimum market exposure.
4. No more than 4 troops exposured.
4. Profit: 78 pips...that should be enough with the proper size.

Second attack looks like a chase but it was not...I got the scout out, saw the confirmation of the Northern 15M reversal and I thought, "Go North, my friend, without fear." So...I send the second wave.

I'd wish I could do it days in and out.

Another interesting dance.
Note how the 15M reverse are used. I entered/exited with them...Those probabilities studies seem to help my PA awareness.

Flip when I saw the 15M reversal...Good profit but bad dance...my mindset was disturbed when I entered the wrong way right at the top.
By the way, at the end of the dances I analyze i with the format shown in the chart below...why? Discipline and for later leaning fromt the past.
Enjoy.

Exhausting battle...Confused dance with scalping mode..A very ugly and nerve wrecking dance...Still profitable...Need to consider this mindset failure...Actually, my brain was really off today...That is a very nice excuse!

Today I worked on 2 metatrader tools to summarize PA information from several time frames that I plan to evaluate to assist me in my scalping and dances. Probably next week I will not trade but I will just play with these tools and develop another to help me with the trend versus range decision. Why? During the dance, I need to be aware of 1M-5M-15-1H all at the same time...I might as well display all the info that I care on top of a 5M chart, and add some alarms for an unexpected 1H or 15M reversal...you see, sometimes I am so focus that I forget to look around.

Any way...I found the 15M chart below very interesting. Note how PA is supported by both a TL and the daily pivot point. I need to look further into this issue because it could be used to minimize risk. I mean: If I am deciding into entering a trade and PA is about the pivot point, I might want to wait and see before comitting...I will look deeper into this topic in the near future.

Bear with me...For some this is trivial information...for me, I read about it but I do not believe until I see and test....So here it is both a confluence of Pivor and TL..Neat!

Hey...It is hard to believe but programming metatrader is darn easy if you know several other computer languages...I always wanted to learn Java...now I do not because MQL is so similar to Java that I am learn it on the fly...
Enjoy it.

Hey luSan just stumbled on your journal, glanced through, looks intresting and I look forward to reading it this weekend.
By looking at what your doing Im going to tighten up on my attack sequence, rescues ,having a tighter dance step and range.
The goal being in half hour battles, of coarse they will all not work out that well.
take care

>>>doable...that is the scalping mode....working on it...chaotic start, as normal, but I found it as profitable as the normal dance..which is also very fast: 1hr target...Success depend on good bias assessment.

Welcome to my world.

I just finished with my upcoming Metatrader research tool....

Just for fun, I took a look to the 15M and, of course, I checked on the Reversal trend line...Take a look...any one who does not believe in this trend line support is completyly blind...

So watch out whenever you see PA close to this line..A trading system could be developed around this behavior...Probably other did...Me? I will look further....I bet there are either (1) thousand of traders or (2) computer playing the 15M TL....

As a first approximation: (1) Bias your dance from it. (2)Be strong moving away...(3) scalp only moving toward it, etc.

Gosh...seeing this made me happy.

Enjoy

I am paying close attention to 15M TL as of now call "the flipping line"..

Today the "flipping line" turned around...PA broke through!...Watchout!
a major reversal or pullback is ongoing....Consolidation and bounce?...We will see

Just noticed this post. I traded this move south on the 19th after the next push at 2:00 my time (wierd 1800 pip total move within 3 days). The big key for me was that the market could not pass back above 4310 after this initial push south, which was a signal that the past uptrend was dead for now (there was a kind of weak attempt to hook back into the previous trend but it failed), and a confirmer then that a new down trend was forming. That pretty much left it with one direction and the targets below.

Never amazed.

It seems that the bears want to go north.

An interesting chart: see (1) today close is above yesterday open, (2) yesterday was very dollar bullish but today there was a total turn in direction and now PA is going north. (3) yesterday negated the pullback and today the pullback is in play again...What does it mean? A consolidation at least I would say. both bulls and bears around chasing each others; since this is a main north direction, I feel inclined to believe that PA is going north...that is a belief...I really do not know but I would dance it that way...with a north bias.

Hi Lusan,

To be honest I would say south, looks like it could happen very soon to sneek the trades in before the Londoners get to their desks(workaholic ones), lol.
Just an opinion ofcourse.

Sure...south, north...who knows? but you did not say your reasoning for a southern trip....Why south?...I see it as north unless you show me otherwise: north and entering into a congestion area....l now I go to bed...tomorrow we will knok the answer. Regards,

Mindset...what a thing!
So hard to build it and so easy to mess it up!

Yesterday I danced terrrible after 2 weeks vacation...I did a practice dance with real money...so bad loss...pig, pig, pig...PA chasing...confused..I tell you, I heard voices...they say, "Wrong, wrong, wrong, you should not be trading, all these is wrong, stop, you are hurting your mindset, your training"

finally I listened to them...I pulled the plug and I watched PA going crazy against me...If I had not listen, I would be with deep losses...Still I lost more than my allowance.

Today, I returned again...Not returing would mean total defeat of my mindset...I had a bad start...again piging and chasing...again slow information inner processing...very rusty.

I thought: "Rusty mindset, lack of focus, return to the trader mind, pay attention to the actual bars, to the past and the present, no prediction here, no PA chasing, general trend on 15M and 5M, your 15M reversals, but do not trust anyone, listen to your gut, be patient, get the balance between greed and fear, no panic, enter at against the bar, just a game, fibos but slow, do not risk the book, no rush, take the punches as long as you are within the 15M trend."

My teacher is really tough...she wacked me hard yesterday and, today she kept punching my face to make sure that I pay attention to 15M and 5M...Not to trust 1H so much..to watch the 5M/15M momentum...and to sell and buy with speed and without hesitation.

Results: Most losses recovered...a great dance..a perfect one...6 % profit in my normal dance style....What a great way to end the year!

Lessons: Protect your mindset at all cost.

Single 1H reversal bars are very very dangerous...Look at the case below, I was in and out within the bar trusting my good friend 15M trend..If I had trust 1H I would be fried...A great opportunity to become a big PIG.

why do I care? Because of the flipping moment...PA entering into a consolidation/congestion area...I trade with the 15M going south and 1H suddenly goes north..flip or hold? That is the question.

No fixed rule about it, it depends on my exposure. In my case, I exited with good profit. Now I should consider my shorts and hold to dance the congestion...Market is ending for the day...Best is to stop.

In terrible mood today: Made a lot of $$ with a demo account and "zero" with my real account...hey, not by trading a single position and holding it for a long time...but by multiple trades and dancing the darn chart....

you know, I want to improve my bias selection, so I demo "that" and surely it looks like I will be trading "the bias" by itself too.

Why am I upset?
My mind seeks order everywhere and I feel terrible knowing of my desire of making a living with a chaotic system. Am I crazy? Are you crazy? ...(by the way, chaotic does not mean random! chaotic means a period of order followed by an umpredictable random period...that is why prediction do not work...we just guess and take it from there...flipping a coins is not good because is random...chaotic is NOT random...so do you best TA and execute...if wrong...no problem...rescue yourself from hell.)

All patterns, all MA, all TA tools are just b.s....What are they for but a reason to buy and sell the dollar...S/R, TL, MA, Momentum, volatility...all b.s....we might as well open a 15M chars and simply ask: is PA going north or south right now? If the answer is north, I trade north and be patient. Hold my horses and wait....if wrong, do not worry, give it a couple hours and you will see PA going in your direction...If wrong, exit and reevaluate.

Now, and this is even more interesting than making money, this is exactly the way life behaves...and that is really really disturbing...to see life as a trading activity...ouch!....to face the unknown all the time...that is really an adventure full of unknown.

I tell you, I did not expect forex to be a caricature of life...that is amazing. In Forex, most people lose, so in life, most people lose. What is a loser but someone that did not achieve what he desired to achieve

What a 2009 beginning!

Let us

Again a reason to be upset....Made 8 % overnight with a demo account.

How?
1) Access the trading bias as if I wanted to dance.
2) Enter with that bias with normal scout.
3) No Stop/No PT
4) Let it run overnight
5) Close before NY opens

Why is this important? Because it is a good test of my bias analysis...Of course, I could be use as an approach for easy trading and capturing by swings in the market without being destroy as a pig..why not now? Because I want to test it out for a long while.

Risky, yes...Not that there is no stops and no PT. The lack of Stop take care of the stop chasers (they will kill you) and the lack of PT will deal with taking too early profit. It is important not to have ST/PT...
