Hello Traders, Please give me some advice:
I obtained an FTMO account, but unfortunately, I lost my account before achieving the first Profit Split. So I lost my account & the refundable fee.
Are you experiencing the same situation as me? if yes, How can you request a refund for the fee, or at least retake the FTMO challenge for free?
Just wanna give my review on FTMO,

I have been trading with them for 3 month now and I can't complain. They are the best prop firm no doubts.doubts Here are my results for the month of July.

Did you see the rules? The refund will only happen on first profit split. Meaning that even if you pass phase 1 & 2. If you lost the funded account. It wont be refunded
Read the entire market, money is made on the main trend not the fluctuation

an example, count $100k maximum loss $90k, if you are at $91k you are entitled to free retake when the time period ends 30 days, you start a new account at $100k, but with this Unlimited condition you always have to recover the account from $91k, then get to $100k and then make 10%, is it correct?

Free retake only occurs if account is in profit and no rules have been breached. They do not offer free retake when account is down 9K.

Welcome to our regular Friday update here at ForexFactory! I hope you had a great week & let's see what's new.

Starting with the platform updates, due to scheduled maintenance on Saturday, 29 July 2023, all Demo servers (MT4 FTMO-Demo, MT4 FTMO-Demo2 and MT5 FTMO-Demo) will be unavailable for trading the whole day. Please note that the market close for all instruments occurs prior to this time. Kindly be reminded that on top of this, cTrader also has different trading hours during the weekend. Therefore make sure to manage your trades accordingly, all times are expressed in the MetaTrader platform time (GMT+3/ CEST+1).

We released a new feature - Trader’s Analysis.
Until now, we provided our traders only with the Analysis of individual trading accounts. The Trader’s Analysis takes into account your whole trading history with FTMO, All your Free Trials, FTMO Challenges, Verifications, and FTMO Accounts. Because if you want to get a sensible outcome, the analysed period has to be long enough, which is exactly why we came up with this feature. You can check your total cumulative profits, your most profitable months, symbols, RRR, win rate, and much more. Also, you have the option to exclude any accounts you want.

Hello Tue5, good question. If the account won’t record a trade in 30 days, it will be deactivated due to inactivity. Therefore if you’ll know you won’t be trading for several weeks, please let us know in advance.

Hi Tian0504, I’m really sorry to hear the bad news. If you exceeded the Maximum Daily Loss and you still have some profit left, it can still be withdrawn, assuming it is your first time that you would exceed the Maximum Daily Loss while remaining in profit. Hi Ak386, please note that the free repeat is provided only in the case the particular FTMO Challenge/Verification finished its Trading Period with a positive balance. As Pipmaster77 correctly mentioned, if you would have finished a $100,000 FTMO Challenge with a balance of $91,000, the free repetition would not be offered to you.
On the contrary, with the Unlimited trading period, you don’t have to stress to have your account balance positive before the end of the trading period at all.

Given the recent change of removing time limits for targets which is good as it removes the pressure of reaching a target within a time period and many of us have another job that could interfere with our ability to trade.

The FTMO website explains "Capital increments on the FTMO Account take place in four-month cycles. For a capital increase, the trader has to generate at least 10% of net profit (20% in the case of an Aggressive account type) in four consecutive monthly cycles".

What if you were able to reach a target in less than four (4) months, does this mean we must continue to trade until the rollover of 4-months in order to achieve the privilege of a capital increase of 25%?

If so, then that would mean if you start with a 10,000 account, it would take nearly 20 of these 4-month cycles (80 months, over 6.5 years) to reach 800,000.

Thanks in advance to FTMO for any clarification.
So FTMO is doing very well, only the 8% profit target condition is missing and FTMO remains one of the best Prop firm

I wanted clarity on 2 things from you:

 

  1. Can I login into my MT4 account from my personal laptop and my personal phone. When I am at the office, I am away from my laptop so I place trade from my phone. I dont see why this would be an issue but many have advised that FTMO will create an issue stating that since you are using 2 devices, you have given 1 to someone else to trade on your behalf. Can you please give some clarity on this?
  2. Does FTMO allow the use of risk management EAs used to calculate lot sizes? I want to use an EA (link attached below) to quickly calculate lot sizes but I am concerned that if I use them then FTMO might flag my account as using bots.

After a few years trading with ftmo. I am very happy to say I have received my first substantial payout.
I’m telling you all as at times I have been a skeptic myself as I’m sure a lot of others are also.
Hope this post helps some people who maybe dubious about pulling the trigger with ftmo. I am not a new member here, I have been a member of forex factory since 2017 and I am writing this without request from ftmo also (haven’t received request “yet”).

Probably you should read the terms and the FAQ on the site first before promoting some EA in here.

Welcome to another regular update here on ForexFactory, and what a week it was! CPI, PPI, and GDP releases made sure that we were not short on volatility.

Let’s start with the trading updates as usual: due to scheduled maintenance on Saturday, 12 August 2023, the MetaTrader 5 platform will be unavailable for trading from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Therefore make sure to manage your trades accordingly, all times are expressed in the MetaTrader platform time (GMT+3/ CEST+1).

As for the regular updates, also here I have some news to share. We’ve created one of the most requested features, and hereby I mean the option to cancel your Free Trial and start a new one right away.
We’ve noticed that many traders were creating multiple registrations under different email addresses (which is against our Terms & Conditions) just to start a new Free Trial. Now everybody who has an active Free Trial has the option to deactivate it directly in the Account MetriX.

Another small feature we added is the countdown timer until the market closure for each instrument on our symbols page. More major updates are to be announced soon!

Hi there Deafpostman, first of all, thank you for your kind words of appreciation, we’re glad you like the new Unlimited trading period.
As for the Scaling plan, please note that the 25% increment can be done only after 4 months of trading, not sooner. So you are correct, if you make 10% earlier, good for you, but that does not mean we will increase your balance immediately as we seek for consistent traders who can keep their FTMO Account for months, possibly even years.
If you had a $10,000 FTMO Account, then every 4 months we can increase your initial balance by $2,500 (25% of the initial balance), hence after 20 4-month cycles (assuming you would meet the criteria every time), your balance would be increased by $50,000 to $60,000.

Hello Moiz1010, the short answers are yes and yes. We absolutely understand that you might be using more than just one device to trade, so that does not pose a problem for us. Expert Advisors are not prohibited either.

Hello all, wanted to share my results with you guys. Got a 100k account, passed two phases without a hitch, signed the contract and started trading on July 21, set my profit split to 14 days the lowest amount possible just to see if they pay me for real or have I been just wasting time for the last 2 months.

4th of August was my profit split day, but it realizes after midnight then it was the weekend so yeah that was a pretty long weekend for me. Anyway, got the email on Monday morning that says they analyzed my account, and everything is fine while I was sleeping. Woke up, sent my withdrawal order and got paid within the same hour I believe.

Note: I did buy a new challenge and left some money inside that's why withdrawal amount is different than the profit split amount.

Hope this helps to some of you.

Second note: I also received refund for my challenge, but I bought it when there was 10% off sale, so it could not fully pay for my next challenge. I had to top it off, felt like too much work so I said, "just refund that and take the payment for the new challenge from my profits." I believe refund took 2-3 days to arrive, they sent it back to the account that I made the payment with.

Overall, I am very happy with the company, hope to work with them for years to come.

I can do trial on FTMO and passed it 3 times in a month so I feel confident to take the challenge. But FTMO is $100 more costly than MFF in compare.

Because there is no trial test on MFF, I am not feeling very much confident here. What do you thinik my chance I would pass the MFF challenge with the same technique? pls advise for challenge account 50K US dollar. Should I try it, or still too early?
I've always found FTMO to be professional and their support excellent. Been with them for a number of years now and cannot fault them at all. The metrics on the site are better than any other I've seen.
Been paid everytime as well and that's the crucial thing. The process is easy and straightforward.
So I am currently doing a free trial. I only trade oil. I trade $250 a tick and have a 12 tick ($3000) Stop Loss on each trade. I would do a $100k Aggressive FTMO account so a max of 10% drawdown per day and 20% overall. The spread on USOil.cash varies between 2-3 ticks on the FTMO demo trial account.

The question I have is when the verification stages are passed etc and I've traded a 'live demo' account for 14 days and asked for my first withdrawal then are there any excuses that FTMO will come up with for not paying me? I read that before any profit split that FTMO have to "analyse" the account in order to process the withdrawal, what does this mean?

Quite simply, do FTMO refuse to pay out on certain trading styles/volumes? If I stay within all the drawdown and 'red news' restrictions then why is a final check required? Would I have a problem trading $250/tick with a 12 tick SL? All the trades would be my own decision, so not copying other FTMO clients etc.

I would rather know all this now rather than after I have wasted £1k and time/effort doing verifications etc etc. Would it be worthwhile sending/sharing my MetriX with them of the free demo account and say this is what I'm going to do, are you going to pay? Before I purchase a challenge.

Any experiences on this?
So I started a new trial demo this morning and these are todays trades showing size, max drawdown, duration etc etc. Will FTMO pay out on this type of trading on Oil?
