So, may be it's better to TICKED all external value every time I want to make the testing, so after Overwriting the old EA with the new one, it will automatically look at the new value. Is that right ?

no, it's better not to tick anything if you want to make the test simple. It will always automatically look at the new compiled value.

only tick the value when you want to do optimization, that is when you want MT4 to search the best result from changing the parameters (not recommended)

EDIT: Oh wait, did you happen to copy the file to the expert folder? I've never try this but as far as i know you have to restart the MT4 when you copy something to the expert folder, or you could compile something from the MetaEditor (MT4 will recheck all the EA,indi, and script when there's compiling activity in metaeditor). I don't know what will happen if you just simply copy the ex4 into the expert (i'm always edited something directly from the folder)

Hi Alvseek,

Thanks for your advice on iClose, iOpen() etc. That was exactly what I was looking for... just didn't know about it. I'm sure that's going to work for me once I've changed all the code from Close[] to iClose(...daily...) then I'll be able to run my EA in a 5 min timeframe (been running in daily only) while checking what's happening on the daily chart.

If it is me, the thread starter, that you're addressing this to: I am sorry, but I am too busy with commercial projects to undertake additional programming work.

Programming is not necessarily a trivial task. What you're asking could take an experienced programmer several hours; firstly, they would need to take time to understand the code that you've presented. Secondly, no offense, but your request is not specific enough; it looks like the EA already has trading rules built into it, hence a programmer would need to know exactly how you want them to be changed. Thirdly, my experience is that most jobs become a never-ending project as the requester seeks to continually improve the EA. And since less than 1% of EAs ever turn out to be profitable, projects like these are usually a waste of time for everybody involved. An EA can never trade as intelligently as a human.

As a commercial software developer, I'm afraid I must focus primarily on projects that allow me to earn a living. Unless a methodology has a profitable track record over a few hundred trades and several months of changing markets, then I would need to charge an hourly rate.

I apologize for the bluntness of my reply, and also for not being able to undertake this work.

I was wondering if some of you have come across an indicator which displays the past days/weeks/months/ pip movements? had a look around the forum but havnt found anything, but i know it exists

Just go to your platform and go to Charts-Template-Save Template...
after you opened this window click on (in my case FXDD-MetaTrader) in order to see this window.

After that click on Ctrl and keep it and with mouse click on templates folder and just copy it wherever you want.

Newbee problem... lost my SL and TP lines, can not see them on chart anymore. Options Settings looks OK, what to do..??

F8 and check the Stop Levels color ???

well, colours are OK, red. I can see ask and bid lines but nothing about SL and TP. I have two accounts in same broker and on only one account showes SL and TP lines
