This EA creates N-Second Charts synced with M1 candles, where the user can set N = 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 20 and 30 Seconds.

How to run it:
1. Download MT7_nSecChartCreatorEA.ex4 from the attachments and copy it into your Experts folder.
2. Enable Allow DLL import in "Tools > Options > Expert Advisors" tab.
3. Refresh your MT4 platform's navigator window (or restart MT4).
4. Open a M1 chart (for example, EURUSD, M1) and attach the EA to the chart.
5. Wait for the EA to sync with the next M1 candle.
6. From File menu, select Open Offline and choose the symbol with the time frame you set in the input settings (the default TF is M7, so you need to find and open EURUSD,M7 chart).

--- Update 2018-07-08 ------
Version 1.25 released. In this version, I fixed the bug causing MT4 to freeze (abnormal termination error fix).

Note: THIS IS AN EXPERIMENTAL VERSION (beta). Please report any bug you may face in this version.

Anyone have a solution to MT4 becoming unbearably slow while running several offline charts? my computer is not slow by any means but after 7 hours+ hours its unbearable. I know you can just restart metatrader but i don't want gaps in data on some of the chart.

Tools / Options / Charts and lower the max bars in history and chart. Depending on how much data you need to review your technique, you can probably drop those values to 2000 or less. Will speed up everything in mt4. Offline charts as in Renko? You may have to experiment with the number of bars in order to draw your design. I don't use Renko, so I only use 600 bars. When I feel like trading 1M, I change it to 2000 bars. Once you make the change, close mt4 and reopen it to take affect.

thanks mathtrader7
i am not really clear on the parameters.
By default, is it that an offline chart, of time frame 7 minutes, will be updating every 10 secs?
or is it applicable to only 1 min chart while i only change the seconds per bar?
what if i put n-second chart to 5, same 10 secs, does it mean on 5 minutes time frame , the new offiline bar will be syncronising every 10 secs as well. Please kindly explain in details, needed to be sure of what am looking at. Thanks

Hi adeforex,

The EA tries to synchronize the n-sec bars with the open of M1 bars. For this purpose, in the current version you should attach it to a M1 chart, and then open the same symbol's offline chart on M7 (default).

Best,
Math

Thank you for the good work. Is it possible to save the ticks to render the charts later with gaps? I can't scroll back to test some indicators, if EA just shows few bars. Thanks.

Hi, Mathtrader, have you thought about something like that for MetaTrader 5? There are no offline charts in it, but it has the possibility to display a candles/bars indicator plot. There are also options to demand tick data from the broker.
