my ancient idea/tactics.. when current Price/Moving is sort of cut taking into account its/their previous values....
when working w Movings, everything rests in MACD theory = convergence/divergence of Price and/or/with Movings...
and second, separate topic = deviation of Price from Movings [CCI]...

to the question of deviations of Price from Average.. what is the best way to calculate it?
of course.. somebody can pull out some clever formula from algebra textbook...
or can count on own fingers [as i usually do] purely logically
compared with standard CCI.. advantage of DDV version is that it shows not only momentum/impulse, but also presence of flat on market...
when and if CCI is in range of ±100, and its fluctuations are insignificant.. look at corresponding screen...
EXP version = ranking of deviations by exponential
PCT version = averaging deviation by deviation
if fluctuations are insignificant...SLR and TRL versions = additional run/averaging of extreme deviations
study indicator settings and test it well...

May I ask if anyone has an indicator for MT4 that can place demo trading positions similar to those on TradingView? I’m looking for one that can add positions on the chart with Stop Loss and Take Profit for journaling purposes - similar to attached picture. Thanks a lot! {image}

Good day Tankk , many thanks for helping me out last month im very grateful and wish you more expanded knowledge in the coding world please i need to enhance the attached VLINE indicator with sound signal and alert i dont know if you can help me to prepare a similar one because this one was done in ex.4 file years back, its done based on DAILY CANDLE TREND DIRECTION .At the opening of the daily candle it will display the trend bias for the day, either in RED for down or BLUE for up on the Daily Candle, now when we change to other time frames like 4hrs and one hr it will still stay at the opening for the day and wont disappear. I just need it to inform me by alerting me for the day market direction and enabling me to switch to smaller time frames so as to trade in that direction. Please kindly assist me when you are less busy. Thanks TANKK

Like you I experimented with all types of moving averages. Sometimes good results, sometimes bad. None really worked.
I dont remember the settings in the specific case I used previously so I have replicated as best I could.

the system incorporates 2 pairs of moving averages and is brilliantly simple and very effective.
Simply match blue to blue or red to red for entries. Additional entries, or re-entries when the white bars appear on the topsmTMMS histo. On my chart I have an additional half trend indi for good measure.
My personal favourite is the much misunderstood, but incredibly informative BBMA system by Oma Ally.

The video is hard going. I still watch it at least once a week. Each time I pick up something new. People focus on the Bollinger bands which I believe is wrong. The main component is actually the 5LWMA channel, which, with a simple trend indicator like a 50MA can be used to trade very well on its own.
