This project has clearly been abandoned and I'm not surprised. The programming of this EA is disgustingly bad. You can see that by just looking at the settings.

The idea about this EA isn't too bad to be honest. I have a EA that trades in a similar way but you need to define the trend in a more clever way.
The model works better if you buy on dips in the direction of the SMA with a bigger size and you need to keep the trades to around 6 Max.
SMA's work, EMA's don't in EA's.

The SMA needs to be Optimized per pair and per time frame only over a twevle month period.
My Model works on around 18 pairs on many time frames.
Just as a guide, EURCAD H4 50SMA - EURCAD Day - 54SMA
USDCHF H1 21SMA - USDCHF H4 - 60SMA
You make your money by accumulating pips over many charts, about 48 charts on one account with my EA " MET "

I don't get why SMA works and EMA doesn't work?
Could you please clarify if you can?
I have the same issue to define the trend and thinking about these 2 options.

That is a question I haven't yet worked out totally but here is my answer. When you trade manually and make decisions by looking at the last bar and a EMA, you factor in the last or most recent movement before taking the trade. So you are only trading whats happening over the last week or so and maybe trading against the long term correct moves.

When you trade with EA that is Optimized over a couple of years with a SMA, the trade is based on the probability that the moves will repeat again so therefore will become profitable sometime soon in a week or two. Over a couple of years the Long term view of a SMA wins.

I have two EA models that use SMA's and are profitable. I can't get a EMA model to work.

I define a Buy Trend in code talk ( Say 50 SMA )-

If bar 50 SMA Shift 1 is greater than bar 50 SMA shift 2
If bar 50 SMA Shift 2 is greater than bar 50 SMA shift 3
If bar 50 SMA Shift 3 is greater than bar 50 SMA shift 4

Hi everyone! This Post is the last for many months now. The question for Tarwada is: How have you gone with this EA in your real account? . I see it very well, even if you have to "spend a lot of fuel before taking off", but when it reaches cruising speed everything is excellent. Thks.
hello. i'm going to be honest now. don't use it on real account. i couldn't find a good settings for this EA. also, i'm working on my own system. if someone figured out a good settings for it please PM me so i can post it on the first page.

Hi Tarwada,

It seems that you have abandon this HFT EA since there's no good settings that can be found to trade consistently and profitably in the long run... Are you going to be sharing the source file by any chance because in one of your earlier post not too far back you announced be sharing the source code out and the details of the projects.

I would very much like to continue on with this Project and if you are ok with it..., can you send me the source file. Thanks so much... Cheers

p/s. 1 [+] You can Change the Period of the SMA . This was what was programmed? Can we change to 34 Smoothed MA instead of using 34 Simple MA? Would love to have this as 34 Smoothed MA cause the results matter significantly...

I have a question for you !!

I saw your post on another forum 29/09/2015 (# 133069) developing Ea Renko, did you manage to execute it?
could open a new discussion here about Ea with Renko's chart.
However, if anyone has any Ea to run on the Renko chart and can share it here, I would be very grateful.
I have been practicing with Renko graphics.
My idea would be simplicity.
To start with it is a strategy that would be just BB and MM.
