Very good question akiva. The reason, or at least my reason for not giving a long signal is because that signal was triggered Aug 23 @ 1.6432. The indicator has crossed down 3 times but the sell signal has not been triggered as it has not gone 10 pips or more below the low of the signal bar. So, since the indicator has crossed back to positive territory it cancels the sell signal and somebody who had gone long on Aug 24 or 25th will still be long, even though an opportunity to sell presented itself at the beg of Sept. It had a positive move of more than 60 pips (remember that the EURCHF is not a big range pair).

Hope you made a lot of pips from the Fed announcement
just to clarify on your signals, when you give the price, that includes the 10 pip filter, or I should add the 10 to the number you give?

(assuming you meant 115 on the $yen.)

in the usdmxn currency i think that the coppock was positive when it went down and turned negative so maybe no signal short there.
Although yesterday eurusd triggered a nice long 1.3897 for about 80 or 90 pips.And today aud nzd triggered a short 1.1682, one small question , how do you put up all the charts in dealbook fx in order to see when any is triggered, i can only see clearly 4 charts.
This is what i don't understand: do we look just for the cross of the base or also for the value of the Coppock ?
Rck66 told us that we have a long signal on the USD/JPY but the Coppock value is still negative...

Yes mcmep11, the 10 pips are added to the entry price. And I meant 116 on the USDJPY

Akiva, I dont follow the USDMXN as my spread is 50 pips. But if you are I will advise to add more than 10 pips to the low or the high. The signal bar was yesterday as the indicator crossed and closed below zero. The low was taken out today by only 45 pips so far. It would probably keep going down as the USD will be very weak (my opinion).

Blanca, the way I have it is I have a Quote board open and then the charts are linked to the quote board. If you right click on any symbol, you will see one of the options is open link chart. So I go 1 by 1 looking at the signal.
The EURUSD signal has been long since Aug 31 when the high of the Aug 24 was triggered.

Akiva what I look at is the coppock histogram. Forget about the reading and or value of the coppock or the coppock m/a. Look at the histogram, which is the difference of both. And yes, yo are right that yesterday USDJPY signal is invalid. I AM REALLY SORRY. That is why u guys need to see it in your chart. sometimes I am running thru all the charts and I dont notice. The value of the histogram should be positive when a buy signal is given and negative when a sell signal is given. AGAIN, SORRY ABOUT MY MISTAKE.

Blanca, am I right in assuming you are taking a long signal after the histograms ticks up after a p/b? or viceversa for a short? For ex. in the AUDUSD signal you are giving the coppock histogram had gone down on Sep17 and then tick up yesterday. That could be another way of trading it, but I haven't backtest it. If you can do it and see that it works, would u mind sharing that info with us?
I would say that if it works with at least 5 pairs, then it should be something else to look at.
If anyone here using GFT CHart Studio knows how to program the StochRSI indicator, would you mind posting it?

Thanks for clarifying this rck. I have been doing exactly as you've described above by looking at the histogram.

With so many pairs to look at, I'm surprised this was your only 'mistake' as you put it. However, everyone must realize that in forex, nothing is guaranteed 100 percent of the time.

in the audusd long i just saw coppock positive since several days ago and looked for the break of yesterday´s high of the candle that is all, trailing it until .8559 when i closed it, i thought that was what you explained, or maybe what i understood, lol, look only signals in the direction of the coppock .

right blanca. Aug 29 was the signal bar to buy 10 pips or so (+spread) above the high. My rule, and you can develop your own, is that when a buy signal is triggered, you stay with it until it hits your target, or u get stopped out with a reversal signal. If you rode it from the mid 8200's to 8559 good for u, that was an awesome trade. Perhaps exiting with a predetermined target and reentering when the histograms ticks up again could be a very nice strategy.

As a matter of fact I was looking at USDCAD, and it seems to work enough to merit further investigation. The only thing I see with it, is that u might get whipsawed more times than if you go with just crossing above or below the zero line.
Today I got it right on the USDJPY

B usdjpy 116.44
S eurcad 1.4080

THe CADCHF signal was triggered, but it has only gone up like 20 pips. Other pairs from last week continue with the signal given like AUDNZD, GBPCAD, etc.

yes was triggerd at 1.4080, already +40 pips, the other signals triggered are also around that, just one question, how is the best way to trail it? in order to keep in profit without leaving much pips on the table.

audusd long .8582, already +45, and nzdusd long .7384 also +45, gbpjpy triggered at 230.98 and returned a little, usdcad short 1.0070 +65 lets see how these goes.
