Dislikedabtrader,
What you are describing is the ''holy Grail'' of indikators that picks the tops and bottoms of price action movements perfectly. Let me know when you find it because I will ditch Symphonie and go with that one.
THAT DOES NOT EXISTS and never will! If you don't like the original Symphonie Extreme Indikator there is a version 2 that when it repaints it leave a dot marking the point of repaint. I will attach to this post.
I think you are missing the point of my post and that is DO NOT be all comsumed by the Extreme Spike Indikator....Ignored
DislikedI use settings of 12,29,9 at the moment for FX5 Divergence. I am trading M5 and entering on M5 signals, but I do take a look at where the signal stands by switching to M15. I do not switch settings between TF's at the moment.Ignored
DislikedNo no no no no hahaha you are mis understanding me! xD
I'm not saying anything about the indicator needing to be correct. I'm just saying that you can't see incorrect signals afterwards! Because they are removed. And I'm saying that I dont see a damn point in removing INCORRECT signals. Why not be able to see where it guessed wronga s well?
And yes that v2 sounds like what I'm talking about. To NOT remove history.
Like I said before with the calculations behind the signal. A signal gets thrown out when something = X, or more than X or...Ignored
DislikedAbsolutely perfect. I just checked out version 2 and it does exactly what I was talking about. To not repaint. So cheers for that!
Honestly I don't know how you misread me and thought I was talking about the quality of the signals. While I was only talking about not having signals repaint after a new bar has formed. But now we are on the same page. And also I do know a very high accuracy system trader, and I can tell you that synergi is a very important thing. So yes I agree with having many indicators pointing the same direction! Albeit his are...Ignored
DislikedEvaluator has said when first get a signal, instead of going in straight away, look at the stochastic and if its near the bottom/top then wait for the pullback before going in. You can place a pending order where you would have gone in.Ignored
DislikedJust wanted to point out a thing I noticed with v2 of that extreme indicator. I had gotten 9 blue dots, 7 in a row and then 2 others afterwards after 1 bar with no dot. But when I restarted the mt4 client those 9 dots turned to 3. I can show you a screen shot.
Just wanted to point that out. I have no clue why and I guess that is why I'm sticking to excel where I understand things better
edit: It probably has something to do with that when you start the mt4 client freshly. The dots already there all have bars going the opposite direction after...Ignored
DislikedIs there a way to also include an autorefresh for 1.8? I notice if I get a signal and refresh manually, the signal dissapears. I guess because the extreme cycle top?Ignored
DislikedThis may help to correct the problem. It is called refreshing the charts. Here is a program to do it automatically and keep your chart fresh and up to date.Ignored
DislikedBut refreshing the chart keeps the amount of dots very low. So thats the normal state ok. Then I contragulate you on your 100% success signal, (not that 100% is very extreme) just that using such simple calculations to achieve it is staggering
Except of course if even the dots, which are supposed to represent repaints. Do repaint themselves. So at the opening a dot appears, at the close it disappears. Another bar opens... and closes. THEN at the third bar, that past dot appears again.
None of this shit works like its logically supposed...Ignored
DislikedI noticed some time ago on one of Steve Hopwood's threads they struggled with such a problem and somebody came up with a solution. I think its in the Multi Purpose trade manager!Ignored
