Both trades, EU and EG, turned around and their SLs at BE+5 were hit...

Don't worry, guys... The market is very volatile these days so this can happen. We should be happy, that both are actually winners, not losers!
Live it or leave it!

A break of 1.0060 could produce a favorable trade.

Yes, I hit SL -200 on eurusd. I thought that looked like the perfect trade - oh well.

Now long nzdusd - try again

(Edit: with hindsight I have entered this far too late - not thinking properly! If I had entered at the open of the candle it might have been quite good - must concentrate)

Hi Jimmy,

So now you don't wait until the end of the day to see if the candle finishes above the EMA again?

Thanks.

Hi Patrix, yes - I'm kind of working on the theory that the candle close is a bit of an artificial cut off point. Since it can close at any time in a 3 hour range that I have seen, in different places and with different brokers, I'm thinking that the close of the candle is just an arbitrary measuring point.

I think consistency is more important, so for me it is more convenient to look at the position at about 08:00 my time (uk). So long as I do it at the same time every day, statistically I should have the same chance as everyone else.

But you are correct - at the candle close it would not have been a valid trade - when I entered it was (for me). I was a bit tired this morning and made not one but two mistakes

I am also looking at the weekly and monthly trend on the 100EMA, and the fact that it broke well outside of the bollinger bands - so looking for confluence of indicators.

I agree with you patrix81. Where would you put your stop? it would have to be below 36.94 I think. That is quite far for me...

Hi Olu,

I couldn't place any order. My broker told me silver is not available yet. It will be in the near future (Hahahaha). Anyway, as I didn't trade it before, I was not sure where to place my stop or to take profits...

Hi Olu,

Yesterday I checked this pair and the fast stoch didn't cross the slow one before the end of the day, so I didn't take it. My broker time is GMT+3. But I can see it looks very well on your screen. Good luck!!!!
