Sad i'm not trying to understand PA
Very long Trade with small channel. I was waiting for breakout and stayed in trade as both red/green still under MBL and price is making LL on H1. Finally happy ending with +34 pips. A senior member (munirpt) has good description of price and TDI trends. I usually have this sticky on my monitor.


"A - price made LL (trend down) - TDI crossed up, but below MBL (not strong signal)

B - price made LH (trend down) - TDI crossed down, but above MBL (not a strong signal)

C - price made HL (trend up) - TDI crossed up, above MBL (strong signal)

what defines TDI trend is the MBL.

what defines price trend is swing cycles(HH,HL,LL,LH).

whenever price trend and TDI trend are in harmony = $$$$$"

Took 2 trade on daily on May 1, 2014 GN and EN as they formed the same setups. I couldn't trade EA H1 for last 2 days and glad as it didn't gave me any good setups and I was already in these 2 trade.

And it came back in the previous trade direction and continued after the news.

Master Candle MC are also in many cases Wide Range Bar WRB on our chart.
If you are interested in more Price Action trading using WRB analysis, here is a good resource website to read up on WRB Analysis.

Combine these WRB with TMS, you will find many more A+++ trade setups which will make you money.

To those of you who are new traders, be patient. Learn and master the 5-Method first then you will gradually progress to more advance stuff. There is plenty to learn and to be better traders.

what a day it has been. No proper internet access since NFP report. Got the connection back not too long ago but no access to fxcm platform...shutdown over the weekend for maintenance. Luckily, my trades were position trades. I am still £ bullish and my thoughts are with Stevepatt on G/U

Just trading Green above/under Red on Daily charts isn't working for me.

I'm also moving more towards the Synergy approach to trading i.e using PriceLine(Green) above Trade Signal Line (Red) above Market Base Line (orange) above 50 Level go long and visa-versa for short.

This isn't pure TMS but it is defiantly Synergy BigE said to adapt TMS to make it work for you that's what I'm doing. This approach is more waiting for a trend to be established then waiting for pull backs and taking trades in the direction of the established trend.

If anyone has a problem with me posting this approach to trading TMS I'll stop posting.

I was using the pure TMS with TDI red/green crosses with success but less pips. Since I adopt the red/green over and under MBL more pips and reliable trades. Of course I check the H4 before H1 and D before H4 trades. One timeframe above your trading timeframe keep you in the right direction. Also for early entries, we can use smaller timeframes such as M15 for H1 etc. I have learned a lot from phx62 posts along with Bizzzle, Imi and list goes on.

Hi Stevepatt, I personally am fine with you talking about synergy of which the TDI is part. I use Synergy and haven't found anything better. Also your strategy of buying/selling dips and rallies in an established trend has been shown to give the highest percentage chance of the trade going in your favour and is the way I trade and is recommended by Market Wizard Linda Bradford Raschke. In addition, you'll find the chances of the trade working out are improved if on the TDI the green, red and MBL are all moving in the same direction. You'll also find more set-ups using lower time-frames. How far will it pull-back, here fibs help and having the longer-term guppies on your charts may also help. I also monitor plenty of charts, not to trade them all, but to narrow it down to the few showing a pull-back set-up at that moment.

The creator of Synergy and the TDI, Dean Malone, has made about 500 excellent videos dealing with all aspects of trading which are freely available over at compassfx.com. Some deal specifically with using Synergy and TDI which is where Big E got it from and are well worth watching. Some too to deal with his DOTS system which are worth a look if only to see how useful Daryl Guppy's multiple moving averages can be which I tend to use in conjunction with the TDI and price action. Even then, with all that said, it's still a percentage game. Plenty of times I'll trade a pull-back in a trend that looks as though it's starting to move up to continue the trend and it stalls and doesn't go anywhere, or it starts to move and then reverses on me. No matter how long we trade, some go with you and some just don't. As others have said plenty of times on this thread, Phx62 remains the best trader to study. Just in case you or anyone else didn't know, his pdf's can be found in the paper-clip at the top of the page. Good trading.

Please keep posting Daily chart trading style. Your trading style looks like when the PA make LL,LH,HL,HH and in TDI when green crosses red above MBL, trade is usually safer. But when you will exit and where will be the stop loss. I use guppy's to look for trend.
Did anyone of you tried Dean Malone's DOT Guppy method? If yes, how are the results?

How many pairs do you trade?
How many trade you take in a month,?

You are a very experienced and astute trader going back many years and in different threads in FF.
So please continue to post and share your knowledge and experience here, There are many new traders wanting to learn to trade the 5-Method and this TMS thread is where eelfranz started so that we can continue and discuss the 5-Method.

I recall this post by eelfranz where he mentioned the blending of Synergy and his 5-Method. I am a conservative trader and I prefer the 5-Method with the use of the 5SMMA as Price Action Channel.
