I think RSI is a good idea to work with..

I meant that Supertrend indy might be an improved version of what I used in 2007 so it can be useful..

I have discovered that no indy wont you protect from blowing your account.

I started to test my new strategy where I use martingaling instead of stop loss in NanningBob recorvery style. i trade it manually.

the problem with SWB IMHO is to identify when we are in ranging market and when we are in trend in its early beginning..

i discovered "Range bars" which will give you more clearly what happend with price and where might the price go by few candle patterns which are easy to find and recognise.

my System is in its early stage of development and if it will show its potetial i will share it with my Live results...

I'm testing this system from two days. Everything looks good, till yesterday's evening. The method left opening trade ! I dont know why. I saw this after 4 hours. I closed it but the loss was big
It is possible to set stop loss ?

No, I'm afraid that's not incorporated in this EA. There is only one range setting.

If you want to space the trades evenly apart, you need to set tier2_sig to false, otherwise it relies on the indicator to set the trades, and the opening price will vary.

I have been using supertrend manually with good success on one minute charts...however, i use martingale fairly easy way based on profit or loss of the last trade.

for example...if super trend is buy...i put my first trade at 0.1 lots and if it goes to loss, i increment the next trade, which would be sell 0.2 and so on until I'm in profit...as the indicator changes it's direction i put buy and sell as we do normally..however, once in loss i start using martingale.

In my experience the increment hovers around 4-5 lots and never goes past 7 stages before showing profit...so the draw down is very low.

I'm using swingsman super trend indicator attached..

Hi ecTrade...thanks for the EA.

I wanted to know how I can open 2 minilots at the supertrend signal using the EA and then close the first lot on a set profit target ...say 5 pips and then allow 2 nd lot to run till the supertrend signal last.

I have seen the supertrend strategy being used by bluewave trading system on a 3 range bars chart on euro. Whether something similar can be achieved by this EA?

went through the thread, very interesting setup...am worried about the drawdown and potential blow-out, since the EA enters a new-level trade based on the indicator signal, why not enter a 2x trade(in reverse direction using the indicator signal) if the first trade is underwater. we can then close out both trades at an equity target. what if the 2nd trade goes against us? wait for the indicator to give another signal then add more trades in the new signal direction. if the indicator is worth anything the market will eventually move in indicator direction and close you out at your equity target. its definitely better than adding to the losing trade, and the drawdown would be cut down drastically...we want a sort of martingale setup, i think this approach is better...the down side is a ranging market,so we need some thing to filter out the signals..maybe ATR. just my 2cents..if i could code, i'd have this out in a hurry..hope some one can help me out...

please help modified this ea
1.modif this ea with averaging up. when profit in 100pips(exmple) make open new position
2. manual entry with smartobject ( Buy arrow up / sell arrow down)
3. manual close with smartobject ( x)
4. hedging /lock in X level averaging down
5. have 2 magic number ( magic for buy & magic for sell )

Does anyone have a current working version of the TSSuperTrendSTS.mq4 indicator for Build 625+ (previous .mq4 file download is in post#70)? I am looking for the upgraded version in indicator form only - do not want any EA version - thanks.

I used to use this indicator all the time and I noticed it no longer is working in recent Build 600 series.
