The spread on lmax can be zero or negative because orders from liquidity providers/banks are not matched against each other. On globex this is not the case, so a zero spread immediately results in a trade, so there will always be a spread minimum of 1 tick.

BTW, if there are negative spreads on lmax, it will display a spread of zero, and the best bid/ask quote will display as the midpoint rounded to the nearest 1/10th pip.

Have you seen negative spreads on LMAX via API?

No, i suppose its the same on API. The web-platform itself uses the same JSON messaging like the API. Maybe its different on fix, i dont know.

Yea, I've played with the API to find zero spread instances, didn't come across negative (yet) though.

I did not get this email. So if I understand this, we have to buy MC and they refund us monthly??

Yes that's right- not ideal, but it seems LMAX are concentrating more on being a pure exchange (I've noticed they only offer one type of account now too), and this is their way of offering a decent platform to LMAX clients (although unfortunately only the larger, higher volume users get it for free through the rebates...)

Yes, the individual Professional Account and corporate. They are just outsourcing the business below 10.000$ to their IBs. This is OK.
It is time for a currency exchange.

Yes, completely different to anything else ( else it would just be a variant of the same status quo of the past 10 years ), I can unfortunately not tell anything more right now.

I recorded this video a few weeks back, comparing Interactive Brokers EUR/USD Globex Future with LMAX EUR.USD FX - over a Fix connection, not the LMAX API.

( No, I havnt seen negative spreads, havnt been looking for it so dosnt mean it couldnt happen, but I doubt )

so,in this case, would u trust Armada & use them as your broker?

I don' see the issue with this. You just need to deposit your balance, double your account quickly and then withdraw your initial investment.

If you're playing with big money than this then go with IMAX directly instead.

Right. Double the money quickly. Thats some solid advice right there.

And then, if you lose half of your doubled money, its somehow less bad. Because you still got the other half. Thats one clever plan, if i ever heard one..

How often do you see data missing from Lmax feed? Just connected Lmax to MC and I see lots of holes like in Swiss cheese, even after reloading... I attache a comparison between Lmax and Oanda.

Karl: lmax is down from 5:00 pm EST to 5:05 pm for roll over. That spike yesterday was during this time - euro fin-mins made an announcement regarding Greece.

I have a favour to ask: can you check how much of the history for USDJPY can be downloaded to your frontends from Lmax? I can only download as little as from September 2012.

I managed to go back as far as 29/8/2010 on the 2 hr charts. What you need to do is right click on the chart, then Format instruments>Settings>and in the data range change the dates to whatever you want. Bear in mind that the further back you go, the longer it will take to load the charts, when changing timeframes until you have downloaded all the historical data into the cache
