Only an idiot would ignore a post like this. * ignores cries of "Why are you taking any notice then? *

I think I will code an experimental version to attempt to automate this. Any further requests, Toothy?

Excellent idea Steve - i;ve been saying it for a while. But did not want to remind you again in case you banned me....hahahah.

Anyway looking forward to your expermental version.

Has anyone here managed to replace the RWB with the TMA?

Steve,
The RWB at extreme shouldn't be too tough to code I wouldn't think. I'm using (NB MACD) for the red MACD line by the way. But the divergence part of the strategy (for adding a third level) as you've said before would be a nightmare. I'm using RSI(8) for divergence. I won't look at divergence older than 5 days on a 4H chart and 2weeks on a daily.

I had a look at the code to see if I could spot why TB is deleting pendings with such enthusiasm. It was looking at the gold lines for deletion-triggering movement rather than the magenta lines, so I have changed this.

I am not sure what difference this will make, as the gold lines should only move if the hi-lo changes. We shall see.

Looking in to the near future, I am wondering how much we should keep TB's activities as secret as we can from the criminals.

What I am wondering is this: instead of sending pending trades, should TB instead be...

Good idea, let the bot actually execute the trade live rather than pending orders. That way the brokers will never know where we are lookign to enter.

But then this would be just like steve's original version of nanning bob's EA - which had its own problems. The beast was breath of fresh air.

i suppose, and sorry to repeat myself and be so annoying, if you want to place live orders perhaps a good way is to do away with the sixes and just use TMA to enter live market orders and use the usual recovery.

I still think pending orders is best to avoid drawdown

CopyTool could help bridging trade between accounts; not practical, but an alternative in the meantime. No pending orders would show up on slave acct.

Whats the difference in terms of drawdown between setting pending ordesr and the bot executing at point of entry? In both cases no trade takes place until it gets in, so the drawdown in both would be the same.

Hey buddy

The difference is that in the original version, the point of entry was never AT the sixes line. Trades were placed willy nilly when conditions where met. In the macman version, pending orders appeared ONCE price action had pierced the gold line. The idea was that the order would be filled in the direction of price action and continue, usually making profit. However, we have found that the market would retrace, touch the gold line (thus having your order filled) but continue in the opposite direction, leaving you with massive drawdown.

Between the two versions, the probability of having winning trades is higher in the macman version, purely because of WHEN you enter the market.

Now i am trying to get taliban Steve to increase the probability of profitable trades even further by using an additional indicator such as TMA or RWB.

Infact, maybe the latest version can give the user a choice if they want to place orders at market or pending?

ahhhhh i get u now. What i think would be awesome is that the bot knows where the entry is based on the sixths. But, instead of sending a pending order once price passes it but actually execute an order when price goes back to the sixths line. So the entry is identical to pending order location and the setup being the same, but simnple executing there instead of the pending order. Hope this makes sense as ive had a few bevvies

I'm pretty sure that this is what Steve is intending:
The trade will be exactly the same at the same same points with the same entries... just executed at market instead of pending... that's all. Probably stored in a global variable.

make sure your broker allows the lot size that you have in the bot. I know some brokers don't allow .01 or they allow that but the next point is .05 then .1. Also update your history file Tools-History center -

Good thing you have a sense of humour.

Not sure whom I was supposed to be shooting at, but it wasn't you. Hey ho. When I pull the trigger, the best thing to do is simply to duck then have a good laugh when I take my own foot to A&E.
