....... yes you are right I will not realease mq4 any more, only ex4, anyway I think nobody can understand it.
Play with it (best on H1 tf, also not bad on M15, rather poor on H4) and it swallow pips on an outstanding manner (so far)

Understand your position, but totally disagree. The strength on this thread has been the fact that other traders/coders peruse the code refining to make it perfect

Cheers

I for one never run anything which I cannot list .... IMHO no point in having something taking trades without being able to check the logic.

End of the line for Max .....

Now this bot and master Ea have more than 8000 coding lines (Yes it's an increadible monster, result of my 20 years trading, 4 years coding, and other outstanding coders like Steve, Simon ect...), so i will not realease mq4 any more, only ex4

Max, I am just grateful that you are willing to share your work. It is clear that a lot of effort has gone into what you have created. So thank you for sharing.

very well spotted, i have the same problem when i zoom, i will study your code

Please bear in mind that little errors or quirks like this would not be spotted if users were not able to peruse through the code and try to understand what is happening. You are of course totally free to release your work in whatever form you choose, but I think threads such as this show just how beneficial opening it up can be for everyone.

Thanks again. Beastie.

After fixing quite few major bugs in this version I have managed to backtest several pairs for the last 3 months. Most of them with quite nice results for example:

USDCHF:

I did not post the correction as I was waiting for the new version. But now I have no idea if these bugs has been corrected - Max's new version (75ff) do not take any trade in back testing. And there is no mq4 to look at. I'm going to drop farther testing of this new version.

Could you post the fixed file. Something is better than nothing as Max seems to be out now.

That's a bit harsh. Last thing I read, Max was still sharing his work for you to use if you wish to do so. The fact that you cannot read his code is disappointing, but he is giving something.

In almost all of your posts here at FF, you seem to be asking for something from others. What have you given?

Cheers, Beastie.

bah bah bah don't be so angry!
i didn't said I do not want to share my work !
i only thinking that it's so complicated that it's worthless.
Scooby doo promise it's bot for several years and never released anything (especially when looking promissing) except beautifull statements and nobody is angry about him !!!
So why you said that ?
I can post my code without problem but i sure that it's useless! I needed almost 2 months for understand Steve's code, my bot is x5 size (8000 lines) , not sure one guy have time to understand it.
Moreover, one of my friend in Hong Kong told me that my version 53 seems to be sold in some sites ( from China or Indonesia? we dont know), that crazy, sell a bot that is truly experimental and really not yet finished, an old version with many bugs, even me that know it very well I will never put it on real account before many many months demo and improvments.
Like say Beastie Boy, some people that complain never shared anything.
No problem, if you don't like it, forget it !

Max,
I for one am immensely grateful for your generosity and work!
You have been contributing for others in many threads, and it is fully appreciated! I guess I'm just a little frustrated with v 71c cuz its still throwing up some errors 130 and other quirky errors....would love to just a see a stable version with the bugs fixed because v71c churns profits even WITH the bugs, which is amazing!

Hi

Lets forget what has been said during the last few posts and get on with the business on hand. Markets are being a [email protected] at the moment and everyone is a bit edgy. We are most grateful for people like Steve, Maxou, Scoobs, etc, for sharing their work and thoughts with us. They are free to give as much or as little as they like. Sometimes people get upset with Scoobs because he shares an idea and works on an EA and then, nothing. The reason is that on further testing he found that it had no legs and abandoned it. People think because he is a professional trader if he creates an EA it is going to be the Holy grail. It is too much to expect, but that is human nature.

As for idiots like me the only thing we can do is to test these creations and report back if we find anything useful. So keep up the good work guys and thanks very much for your creations.

kind Regards

Please look at the difference between the demo FXCM and those of Alpari.
Especially for Louise, one is very good and the other is very bad.
They left on a different date, perhaps for that reason alone?
We'll see what they will do in the future.

Take down jumping stop on Louise from 40 to 30. I don't recognise the drawdown and the results. The only different from default in my configuration is the jumping stop. No maybe you have the girl on H4?

Are you finding Louise places her recovery trades correctly as mine all seem to be placed at the same time. Perhaps this is just a backtesting issue although it is not a problem with any other ea recovery trades.

I would like to apologise to thor68 for my earlier over reaction. I shouldn't make judgements about people I don't know.
And I definately shouldn't be posting comments late on a Friday night after endulging in Whiskey.

Cheers, Beastie.

Guys

Nanning bob has recently mentioned that he has had some success with the TMA indicator, rather that the 6s.

Any chance this could be incorporated into Max's or Steve's bot?

WHat do you think?

Thanks for looking. In the current code, if the calculated values of BbSeparation or 1-BbSeparation = 0 (or are less than 0.1), then TradeDirection is set to none, ie we stop looking for a trade.

Please forgive me if I have this muddled up. I have read through it so many times I can no longer think straight!

Cheers, Beastie.

Maybe I'm looking at the wrong version? My code reads

//Check for short direction trade setup
if (Ask > target)
{
// check for BB huggie trend trade
if ( (StochWhite > 85) && ( StochBlue > 85) && (MacdVal > OverBought) && (BbUpper > TopGreenLine) &&
((1-BbSeparation) < MinSepFromBB) )
{
TrendTradeDirection = up;
TradeDirection = down;
if (TradeDirection == down)

so less than if TradeDirection is set to a value after the comparison, greater than if TradeDirection is subsequently set to none

I have loaded mx075 instead of V71 but no information is getting displayed on the chart in top left? Only thing showing is the tick bar at bottom left which proves it is loading correctly. No errors in the journal so not clear really if this is working as it is supposed to or not.

So I've switched back to V71. No errors at the moment. Change last week is that started a new demo account with £5k and restarted the test with 0.1 lots, 24 hours working and ECN=False. All other parameters at default. Test started 30/9 on 20 pairs.

So far only 5 trades closed for a small profit 0.72% and floating DD of -2%.
