I love those kind of movement especially at the exact time stated for the release. Did a pretty decent profit with different results with the brokers I am trading with the best ratio for spread/slippage goes to my main Broker JFD and at than FXpro comes second. After the news am I the only one who thinks of starting building his longs? Will be watching the Oil release closely and decide after that.

The pair broke out below 1.2200 and kept depreciating. The trend is so bearish that I wouldn't be surprised if it reaches 1.2000 without much of a correction on the way down.

Big move by the BOC ate up three days of downside range in the blink of an eye. If you were bullish you didn't even have time to react so if you lost money don't feel to bad. If you were short you were in the money. If you're still holding short and going for the long term I'm sure stops are safe at 1.226ish maybe. I suspect the price will range in between yesterdays low and todays high for a while due to the knock out punch dealt by the BOC. On my daily the handle in pinned on the lower half of a daily channel that runs back to late June. I doubt the low will break with a massive build of pending orders lurking in the shadows but who knows ha ha.

Guys I am having an issue with Ava. I setup a sell stop at 1.2380 before the BOC and initially they processed it at 1.2260. Now they canceled that telling me it was a system issue and the cotes went directly to 1.2142.

What can I do? Did anyone have a similar issue?

Plenty of momentum to the downside on the daily timeframe. There may be some pullbacks coming but I think it'll go all the way down to 1.16 or even 1.10. They're still talking about BoC doing another interest rate hike and you've got the government shutdown and debt ceiling thing going on in Washington. Oh, don't forget Hurricane Irma coming to lay waste to Florida's economy in addition to what Harvey has already done to Texas.

It bounced back, was looking for it to go long for the next few hours at a snails pace. Unfortunately it dropped back a 2nd time and knocked me out. Now will not re-enter for a while.

I agree on the shorts, just figured there would be some retrace. Shorted yesterday from 1.2230 to 1.2116, had a great day and kind of got greedy as well as jumping to risky mode. Will re-enter later today shorting this pair.
