Why do you think there will be a reversal? So far USD/CAD is still bullish. The last local high was at 1.3597, I think it will reach that level before there's a reversal.

50 period SMA and 50 period EMA , also , 100 period SMA , are now definitely in play with the price action (PA) of the USD/CAD. Friday's Non Farm Payroll (NFP) number MAY NOT even be an issue now that traders have questioned the validity of Wednesday's ADP Employment numbers. In addition , the March Rate Hike is now FULLY priced in to the markets , thus , NO HIKE will send the USD/CAD downward very quickly. A severely disappointing NFP number could easily put the rate hike in jeopardy. Today's retreat from 1.3535 has now put a red candle on the 8 hour chart as of 4pm AST.

For me price is in no mans land right now, I personally wouldn't buy or short here. People are always trying to pick the "top", and its not very easy to do that. We are at the highest price of 2017 so far and the candles still look bullish to me. There is no reason price can't hit 1.36 and could even go higher.

I will repeat trend is your friend......

Good move to the upside this week. I'm waiting to sell around 1.3650.
For some reason, I have a feeling that the NFP is going to suck, or the average weekly hours.. which is going to push usd/cad lower today. IDK is just a feeling.. My chart shows the need to a pullback and only today NFP will do it.

My money is on a pullback, if not past 36ish level----- 38----- and then, perhaps, to the stars.....
don't get in love with pairs ... up or down is the same pip value

I opened a long position after the initial drop after the NFP data came out. My target was at 1.3460, I don't think I will open other positions before the market closes this week.
