Sorry to read that you are on the wrong side of the news. But the market reaction is not as expected either. Maybe the drop in oil prices is now showing up in the numbers. But you would think people with fancy economic degrees would have adjusted their forecasts for oil. But they didnt predict the great recession either.

BBut my take is that canadians lost jobs. Oil prices are going down and they will continue to lose jobs due to oil. It just hasnt shown up in their numbers yet because they are canadian numbers and canadian numbers are slow b3cause canadians are slow.

I took the night off and didn't make any trades so everything cad is a surprise this morning.
hope for the best and expect the worst.

Im in good shape , had pretty much took all the risk off by then, have the short going , see where that goes lol. Been a great week, even traded a pair I never traded before and made a few shekels.

WTI crude broke support and is stuck at another support level so I would think the CAD wont make any drastic moves today given that the numbers were mixed.

I am still short cadjpy but not adding .... still long usdcad but dont want to add at these levels before the fomc thing next week

I'm using Oanda's MT4..

just wanted to make sure it wasn't just me...whelp...looks like I'm done for today; trying to deter myself from trading fridays...this helps.

Red news all week long.
Think buying up to fed meeting is wise. I don't expect interest to change but we will find out. If unchanged dollar will drop fast imo.

Dollar bull momentum has stalled overnight. I am looking for a pull back to your a A C area before fed minutes. If unchanged I think it is wise to wait a day to determine direction.

So if I weren't long I would short with a2650 2660 target. Optimal entry would prob be around2790 2800 it could still go back up there this morning. Trading cadjpy? Im not sure. Still looks like a short even tho there is temp support at 9450 9460
