I have the 4 hour stoch turned up
its flate- up
but up so
I am long in the pair

I am also a little confused you said in your last post that the EUR/USD 4 hour stochastic is up, on my 4 hour chart at 08:00 it is turned down, perhaps I have got it wrong.
Are we looking for the stochastic in all the time frames to have turned in the same direction, and then we enter a trade in that direction?

likely just diff. brookers
but what is your setting 5,3,3 Low/hight?

also it might be the time periods they are using are diff from the ones my brooker is using

also at this time the 30 min stoch has turned against me
but this time I am going to stay till the 4 hour stoch turns against me

So should the 3 stochastic time frames be in the same direction before trading?

no they all have diff times
I use fxdd which ends the day at 5pmest
& oanda which ends at 12 midnight est

as for settings
go to the stoch setting & you will see a a tab likely called parameters & look for price field?
not sure I have never used that platform... maybe someone else can help you

Can you set up one chart, say the 30M with Stochastic 5,3,3 & toggle from the 30M to the 4H & Daily following the cross of Stochastic? Will that work?
Just one chart & jump to the next two time frames. Thanks

Noel,

Teb means Low/High. On your Stochastic Oscillator it will show:

%K period:5; %D period: 3; Slowing: 3; and Price field: Low/High

MA method: Simple

Just check your indicator list for the chart and click on Stochastic Oscillator and make sure these are your settings. Take care.

I think I'm trading the wrong hours. I seem to miss all these killer moves. When I'm trading price is lame and I make set ups out of boredom.

Hi Teb

I am in a dilemma:

Let say, I have daily stoch up, 4h stoch up, and 30 min stoch up, but price is on the positive side of 50 ema
Or daily stoch is down, 4h stoch up and 30 min up but price is on the negative side of the 50 ema.

Which trade would you choose? What should I consider more important, daily stoch confirmation or better situation on 30 min chart.
