That script is pretty awesome Royston, once I realized it goes in the script folder and not the indicator folder . That's one of the things I like about Oanda is being able to move your TP or SL by just clicking and moving it, unlike MT4. Thanks again.

I should add, I always place a hard stop when the open trade order is placed. That way, the Stop resides on the Borker's server. If there is a power cut, or a bulldozer chops through the phone line, you are protected because there is still a stop that lives on the server. The red and blue script lines live on your computer, and send the Close at Market order from your computer to the server. So, unless you place a hard stop on the server, there is still possibility that something bad could happen. Where you put the hard stop is up to you, but I try never to let it get hit, (to the extent that I hold an inquest if it does, lol.... )

That's a good idea Royston, I would never have thought of that. I'll play around with it today and see how it goes.

Didn't take any trades today or yesterday, looking over some different threads and seeing what I like about them. Need to finish some back testing before the weekends over and do some other research, next week should be interesting.

Hope your not over learning the indicators and forgetting the simplicity of price?

Haha I know. Price is king I know that, I'm still checking out your thread everyday but I just feel naked without my MA's on the chart and don't worry I"m not adding anymore indicators to my trading. Thanks for getting my butt in gear though, I really appreciate it.

Hey I traded MA's for a very long time, nothing wrong with that. I have a few trade concepts that work, I finally just removed most of the distractions and went with price mostly.

Let me know if your interested in what I did with that style.

Cheers and have a great weekend, I am pouring cement on Saturday and painting all day Sunday, going to have a blast......

Always interested in how a good trader trades so I'm definitely interested in how you did it. I know how I want to trade works, just comes down to me following the rules and not trading with my emotions.

I'm planning on playing some golf this weekend, to me that seems like more fun than yours, depends on the weather though, we don't all have California weather year round.

18 holes of golf sound to much like work. lol

I try to put 20 hours of manual labor a week somewhere, I have lots of projects around the house and some people who call for my assistance now and then.

It really helps to balance my life, can't watch charts more then 4 hours or I find ghost trades.

Let's work on it next week, I can give you some of the things I have done the past 4 or 5 years.

18 holes? try 9 holes par 3 course. Played 18 once took about 4 hours and shot a solid 120 or so, for now I'm sticking to the par 3's.

Next week sounds good, take your time and golf is a lot of work, lots of walking and sometimes takes a while to try and fish my ball out of the water but it's still fun.

Only took 2 trades today, both on GU. +12 and -9. First chart is the first trade, HL buy got out at +12 for a 1:1 trade. The second chart is the second HL trade which started moving back on me and I had my stop at -15 and I didn't want to get stopped and be down for the day. Obviously a bad idea since price then went up to where my 1:1 target would have been.

Then I went to eat breakfast because the market wasn't moving fast at all and I come back and see entries on all 3 pairs. Need to finish some back testing and do some errands and stuff. Might try to trade some of Asian session tonight, we'll see.

Took 4 trades today, lost 3, should have kept my EJ stop further away and would have been a winner. My first GU short missed my SL by one pip and missed two trades on EU. Seems to happen every time I trade, miss the best trades and only take one trade that works out. Forgot to add total for the day for now is -17.

Hey bro, here is the MA's I use to trade.

I am posting a chart to show how to respond to the movement.

When price is bullish (green and yellow above white), look for pull back trade entries at the buy lines.

When price is bearish (green and yellow below white), look for pull back trade entries at the sell lines.

There are 3 colored lines on the chart.
The primary trend is the White
The trigger lines are the White and Green
The yellow line is the first signs of a trade or trend change.

I have this on the EJ 5 min, that was the pair I worked on for a very long time, but it is good on EU also.

Okay, this is a pre entry short I just put in.

Price broke below the white line and the tested it, I took an entry on the previous low at 143.11.

I prefer price screaming down then back to the green or white for entry, let's see if we get to my target area.

Target lower line, stop above last high marked.

Level 1 has been reached on GJ at 143.05, level 2 is at 142.89.

I am holding the short for this level.

Okay, that was a nice trade, price shot up to fail the very top, then dropped below giving short signal and a break of the low before it went to the top.

I closed on my line and cleared 16 pips.
