When price is in an uptrend and it goes below 21 it tends to pull back to it and then may go down to 89. That has been tought from the beginning and so many times. So it is nothing new. Just prove that it works. Even if someone is posting it after the time just confirm something that has been taught many times and it proves that it works but some people just dont believe it. Unfortunately they lose out.

I now believe. have come to love this system n now i can analyse the market even without the MACD.

thx Philip

Just secure 23 pips and move SL to -20, if price not able to break the resistant and reverse, I still got 3 pips

Close out: 23 pips + 1 pip

Hi All,
this is my first chart related post:

I thought I saw some good CTT (counter trend trades) opportunities on AUD/USD, USD/CHF, Eur/USD, Eur/Jpy and GBP/USD :
{as most were CTT shorts, I'l motivate as short - just read reverse for USD/CHF}
- Failed to break Resistance
- MACD 5-6bar round top
- TL on chart and on MACD Diverging
- MACD making lower lows
- engulfing candle short and MACD histogram declining

AUD/USD - shorted, SL 70, R:R 1:1 thus TP1 70 (banked 50%), 50% of trade still on waiting for R:R of 1:2 (1.0142 area)...

Update: +140, +70 - trade now closed

Rest not taken - SL's too big for my style of counter trend trading.

Trade safe
Paulette

shorting EJ on 4hr setup into 105 Support / Resistance

R:R - not great, left 50% running after banking @ +30 especially in lieu of S/R zone 105 and Euro news due soon...
- increasing Macd
- engulfing Candle
- 21 & 8 crossing over

Update: banked more @ 1:1, now leaving it to market... (+30, +55)

also setup on short EUR/USD and long on USD/CHF - same scenarios

If you are in the US, think or swim is good. However, maybe you are putting your SL too close...give your trade some breathing room

Price is playing @ fibo 38.2 on weekly. Is it going to break and going up? Or it stop and continue going down.

Here is a trade I took on Mon night. The 1st chart is the 4 hr chart showing the channel price. Notice how the 21 MA provided support in the channel. Once price broke out of the channel it crossed the 21 MA. Per Phillip's rules price will return back to the 21 MA and in this case should provide resistance. I fib'd the move out (see the 1hr chart), see where price stops and count 3 fib level (sometimes 4) and that is my TP. The arrow indicates where the 21 MA was on the 4 hr chart and where I expected price to pull back to. I took and early entry around 3765

Steps for this very consistant trade
1) wait for the break
2) fib the move
3) see where price pulls back to (this is the hardest part)
4) count 3 to 4 fib levels and take profit
5) count your $$
