Morning all,

Welcome James, and good luck with the method- notice I said with the method , not with your trading, as luck plays a very small part long term. it requires a lot of work! Nice move up over Asia last night. I see there was a lovely 4hr pin at a double bottom on Euro that would have made a great trade. I'm still in my Aussie long, and added back in before I went out yesterday after the inverted hangman closed above the trendline. Closed a quarter +61 and +58 this morning when I got up and saw this: very nice got one quarter left on both postions now with SL about +25pips

Could be tricky trading today with the EU summit, and comments and rumours about it doing the rounds. Tempted to buy here, but with comments like this "German official says a detailed deal on banks is unlikely at EU summit today" causing drops. Better to wait for more confirmation. Have to go out and see my son in his primary school show now!

Welcome James, good to have you here. I highly recommend reading the PDF and then going back to the beginning of the thread and following along as EO and others posted their trades and outlined their reasoning.

As 131 said, luck plays a small part in success, whether it's trading or another activity. Positive mental attitude and an expectation of success are really key. Those who appear to get all the breaks, etc really create their own "luck". Have you ever read Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich? Lot's of great information in there.

131,

It's truly a pleasure to come out here every day and see you trading like a pro. You are really a testament to the validity of this method and the possibilities that one can achieve with hard work, patience and discipline.

Seeing this really gives me hope that I can and WILL succeed and just wanted to say thanks.

Hey Dharma, thanks for your kindness. I don't feel like a pro yet, it's still feels like quite early days for me too, you know. But I definitely feel I'm growing in confidence here, and as in most things in life confidence is so important. I'll be a lot happier when I have a year's worth of trading eo's method CONSISTENTLY behind me. This is the key. So far it's looking good, but I'm aware of the curveballs that the market can throw at you, and do not want to go back to the bad old days. I'm sure you will succeed, just keep doing what you are doing and it will come to you.

It's amazing what a German ATM will do to a pair.

Question now is whether the market likes it or not.

I did manage to catch some.
