Yes I am trading now (and listening to the Mozart I posted elsewhere). What I trade are currently not setup. Getting there. This is where I will see if my little bias is valid or not. I use the M15 for my decision making and the M1 mostly for entry. With the knowledge that all moves start at the smallest level.

I have been using the M15 so I can see market structure better. It is working fairly well.

And just like that I changed my bias. Will it go? Who knows ...

This is why I do not predict.

One thing Stacey Burke said about 2 years or so ago. Retail traders predict and need to right. Professional traders just want to make money.

MES is near PWL. Lunch time in NY.

I was 6W 1L on the MES today. And the loss was stupid. Today was very good. I think the SP500 is easier to trade than the GU.

This may be due to the rhythm of the market itself. When the US equities market is open it seems to take away from the currencies which could be what makes the GU more erratic.

My trading has seriously switched to short term. Need to finalize (not in stone as the research/learning process has no end) a few things.

The S&P has a rotation of 4 ticks on a moderate trend, which increases proportionally as the volume increases which creates a hard trend that’s very tradable for scalpers. So if you do decide to trade the short term time frames, you will see the higher highs or lower lows far easier down at the one minute view point - and even more profitable if you have the guts to get really dirty and start trading the seconds time frames.

Here you will hit a wall trading trading MES.
The trading costs show it’s 50% less profitable in trading fees over its bigger brother ES which is more suited to scalping.

So you have a choice really, stay up in the M15 timeframes and miss a shit load of trades or come down to the big ball traders club and trade ES.

The choice is tough because ES will destroy any trader who has no edge, but reward those that do very very nicely.

Hang around SPX, it will reward any trader who takes the effort to learn how it ticks.

Cheers
Trading thin liquidity at the boundary of the charts

Thanks for dropping by,

You are correct that costs are less on the ES vs the MES. You also need to have a much larger account size and I prefer not to at this point.

You assume I am a scalper. Even though my entries are off the 1-minute chart, my targert is further than what a scalper targets. Does it always make it? Nope, but that's another chat.

The SPX is the S&P 500 index itself. Perhaps you meant SPY. That is an ETF and I have no desire to trade ETFs, tax reasons and all.

Take care and I appreciate no mention of volume.
