Hi Lover Man i personally buy dips and have been off loading around 1.24 if we were to close above 1.24330 then i would buy again but it always has a nasty habit of spiking up then being sold off so i prefer to buy dips rather than breaks up

Ok thanks

Buying on the way down can get a bit nerve racking especially when it goes down more than expected. This time round I told myself I would buy less on the way down and buy on the way up. Now I am thinking ok when do I buy?

I lile the idea of a simple system based on 50 and 100 levels.

Or crosses of ma's.

I start buying low 1.23's and am prepared to buy more if it goes lower.

Buying at the daily 200 ma has been good

Hi guys,

I do not buy on the way up. I buy dips on support level.

Just coming back on a point last week: we just had rumors a couple of minutes ago, that 2 missiles where heading towards Syria... See the 5 minutes chart to see the dips. Now wait till one really hits the country!! Yes, market price in everything, but not to the full extend...

I managed to buy some more at 1.2316 level. What's odd is if this rumour was not confirmed then why doesn't the market return to prior level.

IMHO... because, you suddenly materialize your fear... and like a rubber that has been stretched too much to never retrace 100%... Now, if course, after a period of time, market will put this behind him & will proceed it's path...

So it seems USD CHF has a battle going on at the 0.93700 area. If we can close above this today then this may signal USD CHF is on the up.

How many times is it going to fail to break the 4 hour 200 ema.

Very frustrating

Thats it i cut my longs it was nice to trade this during the summer break but now its time for better pairs good luck all.

Im having some successful trips to UJ... (buy on dips mode) however I find that more frustrating than this one here

Have a look at the weekly of EC, seems like a volcano before eruption at least for me,
this the main behaviour of ECHF when all of us here will be totaly frustrated and many quit
it will start move relentlessly if I can sum up the last two years of the pair this is the moral for me

Thanks LM and pipxster yep I have been in dollar yen also and am looking to buy on a trip back to the broken triangle.

I will keep my eye on this pair if we get some sort of movement I may get involved again.

If USD CHF enters an upward phase this must impact EUR CHF - it has recently. Simple fundamentals = if Fed slows down its QE then the USD should go up.

I also wanted to share my view on this pair. I have been trading almost only it for around a year now. And also reading this topic for some time now

My view is that it should have a new spike soon - around September 18-19. It's purely calendar view
It has had spikes in almost exact 4 month intervals (19th September last year, 18th January and on 22nd May) with two lower highs in between.
FOMC statement on 18th September I hope will give a power to this pair to achieve new high
