If we assign a value of 3 to the strongest positive aspects, 2 to the second strongest group of positive aspects, 1 to the third strongest positive aspects, -3 to the strongest negative aspects, -2 to the second strongest group of negative aspects, and -1 to the third strongest negative aspects, we can come up with a sentiment score for this currency. The higher the better (or the higher the more bullish). This would be one way of using the info . . .
Ignored
If you use this scoring method, you'd probably play the "hot hand" by trading the strongest currency against the weakest, in the direction of the strongest.

Another way would be to look for the most powerful aspects, that are occuring when volume should be at it's highest. This can (theoretically) set you up for a trade during Frankfurt, London, or NY session.
Ignored
If you use this method, you might as well trade the majors. For instance, if you saw something noteworthy on the Euro astro chart for high volume times, you'd trade EUR/USD. But a "hot hand" trade is also a possibility with it.

Remember that you should test these out yourself, and use them along with your current trading method.

The key to running this software for a given currency is using the correct natal date. The ones I’m using are listed below.

[font=Verdana]The natal GMT time is less critical for what we’re doing. But it would be nice to have the same or close to the same time, if we’re posting charts to the same thread. It takes a 2 hours difference in GMT time to cause about a 1 degree difference in the position of the Moon. The other “planets” move much slower, and the difference would just be a fraction of a degree. That’s why it’s not...

ummm... Exact time, is needed if you want to take in account House(that are important, if not very important), ascendant(1th house) and mid-heaven(10th house). But i suppose you can get a "bias" without them.

This method doesn't use houses. So an approximate time is good enough.

I'm in the same boat. James takes natal chart planetary positions, and compares them to current planetary positions. The degrees of separation (aka aspects) between those planets are the basis for the interpretation. What you look for, and how you respond to the info become part of your method. The exact way you go about it can vary. What I've been trying just lately can be found in the last few pages of the thread. I'd welcome your help with it.

which planets in the natal chart compared with which planets in the transit ?

corollary : does it mean one planet is dominant for a currency ? which planet is dominant for the each of the currencies ? i mean , which planet is dominant for a currency from which we gauge the aspects ?

give illustration with the above chart on EU.

how do u apply/interpret it to the crosses ?

does it mean :

USDCHF --- USD strong therefore bullish --- price chart moves up ?

GBPUSD --- GBP weak therefore bearish --- price chart moves down ?

EURUSD --- EUR weak therefore bearish --- price chart moves down ?

does these changes in direction come at the precise time of the aspects : conjunction, opposition, square, trine of the "resident/dominant" planet of the currency compared with the (which?) planets of the transit ?

Right now I'm experimenting with using all of them. All the real planets, plus Pluto, Chiron (an asteroid), the Moon, and Sun. Sometimes we call all of them planets, even though technically they're not. It just makes things easier to talk about.

I'm not using the concept of so called "dominant" planets. That's where one is more important than the others for a given instrument. I've heard that's common for metals, but I've never seen that done with currencies. It might be worth researching. And it could be that Zapmx or Hades know more about it.

Yesterday's transits to the Euro natal chart:

The idea behind the sentiment score is to guage the relative perceived strength of the currencies, as seen by the market, based on the planetary cycles. The market is made up of people, and I'm hoping to gain an insight into their sentiment. Ultimately it's human thoughts, perceptions, and actions that move the market. News and events can be viewed in different ways at different times. I'm trying to tap into that sentiment, if possible. Not sure if it will work out.

It turns out the best trade based on sentiment scores would have been AUD/USA. That was the true "hot hand". AUD had the lowest score, and USA the highest. The AUD chart had 4 squares to it and price moved down. Then when the Moon moved into a positive conjunction with Jupiter (0 degrees), price moved back up. So I do see some promise there. It doesn't prove anything, but I've noted it.

I wish it was that easy. There's something called an "orb", and that's akin to an "area of influence". I'm still researching this timing element. I prefer to use real life situations instead of text book answers, so it might take me awhile. But I have heard an orb of 1 degree mentioned several times. It starts getting strong at 1 degree from exact, reaches it's peak at exact, then wanes until 1 degree of separation. Most likely this will prove to be an oversimplification . . . but since you asked, there it is . . .

Here's the AUD from yesterday:

Pip Cruiser can you disclose your sentiment score for EUR aspect by aspect, since you post the aspectarian gifs files of this currency for 3/22/2010, as an example for this method. Thank you.

Sure. By the way, you can get these yourself by using the same software, with the same setups. The scoring system is 1 or 2 pages back.
