By the way, I’m just running tests and doing research. I don’t make trades based on planetary cycles. I don’t know yet whether it’s feasible. I have been learning the methods though, and checking the results. Remember that even James and Zapmx only use planetary cycles for confirmation. Their main tools are still the technical charts. They check whether the cycles are in agreement with them, and if so they usually take the trade.

I've found that there's some relevance to these cycles but I would not base my trades off of them because most of what becomes known is after the fact. They influence behavior but it's hard to pinpoint who will be effected and how. Maybe I'm just not good at it but that's my current position. I would like to learn more of course.
Before Forex I was tall, and clean shaven. Now I am an Ewok.

* The date down at the bottom is the natal date (aka birthdate).
* The time is set to 1 GMT.
* The date range in the upper left hand corner gets compared to the natal chart (1 day in this case).
* The aspects I use are 000 (conjunction), 060 (sextile), 090 (square), 120 (trine), and 180 (opposition).

That sounds alot like my position on it. I might use it one day, but I don't right now.

* Down at the bottom I've unchecked "ignore duplicates" and "Helio".
* I usually run "Transit to natal planets", which zeroes in on the birthchart. If I want current planetary position only, I move down to the one below it called "Transit to transit planets".
* The P1 Planets are the transiting planets you want to compare to the natal chart.
* The P2 Planets are the natal planets getting compared to the current.

The planets you choose to use might be different than the ones I have selected. But this is how I'm doing it right now, and seems to work well.

Now it should give you a listing of the "transit to natal" planetary aspects.

We still haven't found a good use for the bottom left hand side function. You can ignore it, blank it out, or play around with it. I blanked out the "zodiac degree" default of "179.xxxxx" so I wouldn't have to look at it. It has no affect on what we're doing. It's totally something else.

When everything seems setup correctly, and you're getting what you think is good data, it's time to save your settings under a logical name.

Here's the names I use. EUR Natal, AUD Natal, etc. The ".opt" is a file extension, and you don't have to actually enter that part.

There's another "Save" button near the bottom of the aspectarian window. But I've found that the only thing is saves is the date. You can call the saved ones back up with the "Open" button next to it. I have a few, and I name them much like the "Settings". They get saved with a different file type.

If you want to call up any of the setting you've saved (like EUR Natal), you click on "File" in the upper left hand corner, and choose "Load settings".

Another function available, is to choose "Natal planet positions - longitude" (see above). This brings up a small window with a list of the positions of the natal planets (see below).

But the main thing we're after is to get a list of "aspects found". That's the good stuff.

The next step is interpretation. In general, we're classifying squares (60) and oppositions (180) as negative or bearish. Sextiles (60) and trines (120) are positive or bullish.

Conjunctions (0) are a little trickier, and can be either positive or negative depending on the planet. For instance when Saturn is involved, it's considered negative. When Uranus is involved it can be explosive one way or another, so that can be looked at as negative.

Another thing you can use in the interpretation, is the time that the aspect occurs. You can try to ascertain (at least) which trading session the sentiment change will occur in, and maybe how long it will last.

Originally James had some free software on his web site, that made this process a little easier. But something went haywire and it stopped working.

Now a few of us are trying to get things going again

CHF - Swissy is the best looking astro chart for the next 12 hours. No squares or oppositions.

How do you know which pair to link your astro analysis to.

Thanks
