I highly recommend watching this video...You see Chris can look at the candlesticks and see the liquidity/volume
thats what I have said for so long...YOu dont need volume the candlesticks tell all...But you have to put it all
together..candlesticks at timing at levels how far etc etc.. Georges filters is an ex....

Great vid tho and so much of what he says has been said here... But always good to see another way of explaining or perspective..
And Man O Man the 1m chart examples...can you say SB or CB lol..... LINES LINES EVERYWHERE WOOOHOO

Admission. I spent a year studying Lori. Was really confused at the time. More subconscious stuff that surfaces when you need it.

Chris was flogging some unscrupulous trading software back in the day LOL... He was a very sharp articulate speaker...with a great background and money behind him.
I cant recall the details but after the software gig was basically busted legally he moved on and studied and became an accredited CTA.... I dont know who taught him but I do know 20+ years ago he was selling some shit I wasnt buying LOL...

He does tho now have some great material and is highly knowledgable.... Is he a real successful trader on his own???... I am unsure,,, he might be... But defintely some great Market concepts to learn from Chris... That tie into SB CB GEORGE

I think he made a killing doing swaps between AUD and JPY for a good while there until the Big Dogs essentially put an end to that. Tp many Japanese housewives were making too much money for the greedy bastards.

Interesting, I don't know too much other than the free stuff available and I did do his Aussie Yen course. I don't know much about his earlier days or even now to be honest and I haven't felt the need to do all of his trainings. I just find anyone who shows the interbank operations and how liquidity works is useful for us which helps with the charting we have to do. The young guy Cameron has helped teach S Burke's slant as he was just painful to listen to.
They are all worth a consideration and one extra voice can help clear the fog so to speak.

On an aside What periods do folk use for ADR?? I currently have mine set at 45 days. Thinking is it gives a fair amount of time while still being more responsive to more recent time. Knowing it is an average, too long will make it too smooth.
My daily ADR is set at 14. See chart mt4. Red line near NY high and yesterday's high.

Hi Mark,

45 days is too much my friend.

ADR & ATR will give the average of High/Low of a period in numbers or Oscillator.
but an indicator like Donchian Channel will give Visual TRUE range of High/Low + 50% at the close of a period.

here is multi periods ranges to compare:
Day: white
Week: Blue
Month: Yellow
45 days: Red

as you can see the range of 45 days is way too big to be used in daytrading.
but since you use it as a filter only, BB can replace DC and you only need the closest period or 2 to filter the ranges Visually.

GJ H1 daily and weekly ranges

another way for use, Kevin use TIME and you use range, combining the two you can trade intra-day using periods like H4(common TF) and H8(session)

as you can see, BB bands squeeze and MA flat, is TRUE RANGE for the periods telling you the range is at it's lowest, the break will be a change of direction.
sometimes(Asian session) H4 stay flat waiting for H8(session) to confirm the lowest range.

all indicator's are based on math to do 1 JOB helping traders, others can call it lines all they want.
