As I just pointed in my other post, you may be right about the long term, but frankly I dont know what is going to happen next week forget about next year. I mean we may see a 4000 index, but how the heck can I say for sure that it is going to happen in 1.5 years!! You see my point?
People are looking for jobs for 6 + months, yes I know some too. But the part contributing to their travails is the fact that they only want a job in their industry. They just would not accept a lower paying or a different job than they are used to.
US and whole of the west is under a socio-economic shift now- Obama has been elected president, and direction intended is a move away from plain capitalism to a more socialistic model-so people have to now get used to the lesser affleunt lifestyles. We are all under this transition.
Again, I just focus on what market shows me day to day. I am a trader not an investor. People who invested 10 years ago have now 0 (YES ZERO) in their portfolios...a massive 0 % ROI. I am more than happy if at the end of the week I have made a x number of pips. Who can really say for sure what is going to happen after x number of weeks, months, years?
My post was to that effect, a 0.4 % gain, though less than .5 % is a consistent, solid gain. It is going to have a +ve effect. And it is just a survey, so actual number may be 0.3, or .6 who knows?
