Whether it's the Democratic Party or the Republican Party, it's the same difference. Politics and politicians are a disgusting social science (to me).

If merely serving as a political representative or cooperation envoy in another country, that’s acceptable. However, idolizing political leaders more than ordinary citizens who contribute to building the nation—such as farmers, applied scientists, or engineers—is lel thing , unless their work yields truly meaningful results.

that's not exactly how it works here...they're two partys with an occasional third because we don't have a parliamentary government...the founding fathers didn't want a monarchy or parliamentary system like englands but it kept vestiges of the parlimentary concept

where britons vote for their local members for parliament they don't have a say in who will represent them as prime minister...that's up to the MP's to vote on some idiots like boris johnson and liz truss LMAO

our founding revolutionaries didn't want that shit but they didn't trust the public that much either so they created the electoral college which votes for the president ....but they are bound to vote for the candidate winning the popular vote of their state...so its kinda sorta parliamentary but it isn't LOL

we get to choose our president in this democracy between 2 or sometimes 3 party candidates instead of not having a say at all in who becomes prime minister in britains parliamentary system

I don't know enuf about Indonesia's political system to comment at the moment but it doesn't sound like its truly democratic since the military has a say in your government...don't it?.l..which is verboten in ours

Yes, Indonesia's democratic system is indeed flawed, and I’m not comparing it to others. As you said, each country has its own context. Since the Reform era in Indonesia, power has been separated, and the military is no longer allowed to interfere in politics—though retired military personnel are permitted to enter politics. The military here once held significant influence, historically to counter communism. The first president was aligned with Russia and China, while the second president was a CIA ally. Communism here was seen as sidelining religion, while the military was perceived as closer to religious values, though things are more mixed now.

I’m comparing this to Aceh, one of Indonesia’s foundational provinces. We once had a parliamentary system with a Sultan as the ceremonial head of government. The Sultan was elected by representatives from sovereign regions, but actual governance was carried out by a Prime Minister. Later, British and Dutch trading alliances colonized Indonesia, with Aceh being the last to fall—though not easily, as they suffered heavy losses and casualties here.

The Netherlands, a small European country, built the largest trading empire in history and became immensely wealthy after colonizing Asia (VOC), despite once begging for funds from fellow European nations and praising Asia.

Personally, I think it’s okay to compare apples to oranges—or even mangoes—to better understand context, not just to psycho-babble jargon.

...there was a discussion here recently that resulted in me re-posting the excellent late Mark Douglas's 4 Fundamental Truths of Trading & his 7 Principles of Consistency re trading. It lead me to think about the essential and unequivocal truths about any market/trading instrument we must accept before trading it, and so have come up with my own Fundamental Truths in this respect. They are replicated below.


7 Fundamental Truths about any financial market/trading instrument;

1. The market is never wrong. At any point in time it is the prevailing net will of all buyers and sellers involved in it at that point in time.

2. The market doesn’t know you exist. Although it can be a dangerous place, it means you no harm. It is not personal.

3. The market doesn’t care what you think, feel, or expect.

4. The market is in a constant quest for balance/equilibrium.

5. Re 4. above, When the market is rising it is looking for sellers to fill the imbalance of demand over supply. Conversely, when the market is falling it is looking for buyers to fill the imbalance of supply over demand.

6. The market will hunt your stops, but again, it’s nothing personal, it’s just looking for liquidity.

7. The market acts as an efficient mechanism to transfer wealth from those without an edge, and/or the discipline/psychology to trade it profitably -to- those with both.

Waveski, I checked your GU trades before I posted my replay on Friday. There is the chance on 4H TF that GU can retrace more to the 1.2542-1.2504 zone but this is a theory, the market will do what it wants. I don't hold losing trades bigger than my average daily profits calculated from the prior month b/c I don't want to make up for the losing trade forever. Imagine being 3800 pips in the DD. A very good trader can make 60 pips daily (ATR(14)= 110 pips) during 2 trading sessions, so you would fight back to get at BE for 3 months, at least. Sure, that kind of DD would give you the right to come to this thread to lecture people about managing small accounts. Are you here for it? I doubt.
In my book, you made the right decision and the fact that you have enough margin to stay in this trade for a long time won't change my opinion.

I'm of the same thought, even if the GU drops on Sunday night and those underwater would be in profit, I've still think I've made the best choice, I may have lost a battle but I'm winning the war, I still find it hard to close negative trades, "repetition is the mother of all skill", I'll get use to it....
im gona take a nap later in the day gentlemen so I can stay up for london open and be here with all of you since I think that will have the most movement since all US markets closed except for globex for presidents day
