Have you tried to use normal distribution on these ‘close’ prices to see how far it could move up or down? Could be cool to see if it works

Sorry to hear that. Your strategies could be good, but I guess problem lies in high leverage. Like in the previous times?
Big account is a big advantage.
Imagine having 10k/20k/... account and trading 0.1/0.2/... lot. Or even fractional leverage.
E.g. you bought GU @ 1.21. Probability that price going to parity? Miserably low, right? In worst case one can experience ~22% DD. But it's always possible to gain on pullback or hedge @ opposite signal to offset risk.

You're absolutely right. Market is a random walk by definition. Anyway it's possible to identify reversion targets with high probability.

If you decide to return to trading someday:
Same set of rules works on synthetic data too. So one will trade statistical properties of a given stochastic process.
Only goal is to survive the worst case DD scenario.

Record max_profit per signal of your rules. Make a time-series. You'll probably get something like this (no guarantee it will be smooth). Maybe there are cycles in your strategy

the bandwidth is too big, +- 50 pips
I just thought it was interesting that High-Close and Close-Low were significant in predicting the next close,
whereas other derivatives such as High-Low or Open-Close are not significant.
