They allow max 12 % loss on any account, in a funded account or demo account.

In- experienced traders trading with firms do the same mistake as if they trade in personal account.

Most pro traders use stop loss EA. It can be set to 2 or 3 %.

So, even if trader is sleeping, EA protects ..takes loss, protect account.

By doing this, the next day or next week, the trader can come back and recover lost money

That kind of dicipline is instilled by Firms.

That's the problem if you only trade one pair. If both currencies are in a sh*tty mode, than you have a problem. That happened today on GBP/USD, USD/JPY for example was fine, I also earned money on USD/CHF.

I'm still underwater 4 trading days currently... I could close now before Rate Decision. But you know what? I don't lol. -I should, I know, statistically it makes no sense cause I trade that away in 4 days on avg. But today I'm in the mood. This was too stupid for me since now. Let's see if bulls (whoever that is) to keep the positions until FED announce. Huge risk. Anyway, feel free to join the bulls now (even statistically not recommended but who cares these days lol).

To address FED expectations, what data is there that suggests prices rising on controllable items? Even imported fuel is coming down in price! This FED has two mandates, combat inflation and deal with employment. Right now both of these are moving the way that the FED 'wants'. Hell CME even has a 95% probability of no increase this time around! Still doesn't answer the question of what the market will do!

So far when CME priced in hikes more than 90%, USD fall if fed deliver the expected rate hike.

USD rise is Fed hike more than the priced in.

If Cme probability stuck at around 70-80%, we have spike both sides. First, move to fully priced in, the second move, the 70-80% already priced in exit their trades at market order.

Today, FED skip (transitioning from hiking cycle to pause cycle) is something new, and badly want to see how the market reaction will be.

My money is on the first scenario which i posted yesterday evening, but given each market moment is unique, losing today is a great lesson to be learnt for the rest of my trading career.

Two weeks back the media floated pause.
If it's a pause, it means market participants are influencing the Fed's actions, or maybe the Fed itself is leaking - both of which are outrageous.
They should raise rates in a perfect world.

The question remains as inflation data was lower than expected? Why hike and risk causing more problems when infaltion is falling?
But the more tricky part going to be is , FED might not raise But come with still hawkish commentary

With the PPI inflation for May drops to 1.1%, well below expectations of 1.5%. (data released earlier)
Core PPI drops to 2.8%, below 2.9% expected.
Does the FED finally have inflation under control?

GU is at the strong resistance level @ 1.2700 but the spike up at the announcement just to shake out weak shorthand is not ruled out.
