The US does pay their debts. They just print more money and give you some of it to pay the debt that they owe you. With more and more US currency in circulation you would expect the value to fall.

If they paid their debts, they wouldn't double their debt every 8 years. It will be interesting to see what happens in another 8 years when it's around $64 trillion. I'm sure the Treasury Secretary then will still be claim they that "need to raise the debt ceiling or we can't pay our debts".

It's interesting to note that the debt ceiling will be suspended until after the next Presidential Election next year. Giving a bunch of Socialist Dems a blank cheque. WCGW?

If I may join the discussion.....Putin is not as dumb and GREEDY like the globalist elites in the EU, US, and Israel to cause a war this size. Russia is still recovering from from its population loss during the Bolshevik revolution and WWII.
What these elites want is to STEAL all the natural resources in the middle and eastern part of Russia (just like they did in the middle east and latin America). This is why they have always demonized Putin's nationalist stance since he became president by expanding NATO closer (in violation of the Minsk Agreement).
This time, these globalists are in deep shit, their cover has been blown and more and more people can see their agenda. They are desperate enough hoping for a nuclear war with Russia/China as a distraction.

Whether they pay or not, thats not the thing we should mind. But from where they do get the money to make the repayment matters.
Same like when reading a companys balance sheet indcating profitability but where do it get it, from high sales or cost minimization = good/bad quality of profits
