[quote=Benton;13464876]Yields has dropped a lot. So I don't believe that DXY would rise a lot! So GU dropping from here should be limited! I bought at 1.3762,[/quoIn my opinion, I think the reason for the drop across all currencies but yen and dollar is because if risk aversion following EU and US ban on China. Notice how gold and yen refuse to fall.
But now is the time to buy cos the market has reacted accordingly to the news.

Your are right. DXY rising could be due to trade war with China. But when yield is dropping quickly, I think that DXY could not go too far. Look at DXY now. It starts dropping at the moment!

I am suspecting Powel won't shake the market today. What would he say that he hasn't said before?

Exactly, market reacted accordingly especially AUD and NZD. Like you said, the surprise is over, dxy should fall now.

So far Powell's attitude towards rising yield is "do nothing". If he changes the attitude, or says something indicating that he would do something to curb the rising yield, he could shake the market. In this case, yield would drop sharply, DXY drops, GU goes to moon! If he doesn't say anything about yield, nothing would happen.

Therefore, if his speech has any impact, the impact can only be GU going up, not the other way!

Am I wrong?

Hey Moty,

Consider trading for a prop firm with 100K. IMO You have what it takes to be a prop trader. You can trade up to 500K. Just imagine. you make some 300-500 $ week with with 200 $ Capitol. How much can you make with 100K capitol. you may want to choose according to your trading style though. Give it a shot.

Cheers !

So if we expect his attitude to continue, then yields should continue their strong uptrend, no ?
