Jobless claims rose by 28,000 to 337,000 in the week ended Oct. 13. That was the biggest one-week gain since Feb 10 when claims rose by 42,000. The four-week moving average increased to 316,500 from 310,500, back into the range the average has been in all year. It's a sign of increased job loss, but is still somewhat on the low side of the worrisome range.Ignored
